4 weeks post op and have stalled.
If you search some of the other posts on stalls many people break through by changing up their routines. Sometimes it's the food routine sometimes the workout routine. Am just week 1 so hopefully won't have to worry for a little while A lot of posts are around 3/4 week stall

Do the same rules apply to regular stomachs?
It worked for me and I recommended it for tons of friends and we all felt fuller longer. I lost 5 pounds in one month just doing that and nothing else

Really I hope the best for you both and I hope Mexico is a good decision for you

My surgery was today and i feel great!
So officially 48 hours since surgery. Came home last night. I need to pay more attention to time of day so the pain doesn't get ahead of me. I need to stay on the 4 hour Tylenol with codeine. Have been walking in circles around the house. Started my Protein shake today also. So far so good.

Ok this is bugging me
Ok but why Mexico? Why not find a local surgeon and facility to do it? I don't see many cash pay people even trying that route. They just aim for Mexico. There are great docs and hospitals all over the world and just as great here. I would be concerned with future care, complications and immediate follow up and want a local person If it means a little extra more than so be it.

What to take to the hospital?
I brought the following Nightgown - didn't use. I was so hooked up they had to get to stuff and it was easier to keep hospital gowns on Gas x strips- I didn't need em was up and walking within an hour of reaching my room and kept doing that and no gas pain yet Toothbrush and toothpaste - the hospital also provided Pillow - because theirs wee hard as rocks. Phone, headphones, books on tape Was up the entire night got to listen to a couple of chapters

Appeal rights are listed in your denial letter and if they aren't send it to your local insurance commissioner as an appeal

STRICTLY VENTING
If you look at OPs other posts she has an OB gyn If the Obgyn is willing to write a letter than stop wasting time and go for that. Any doctor you've been treating with can write the letter. An earlier poster also suggested talking to the office staff. That usually will get you further faster. If that's still an issue get a new doctor. I would not have waited from early June until now with the same issue. Op has another post about her pcp from that time period.

My surgery was today and i feel great!
Yes they removed pain pumps this morning. Been getting to toradol shots evry couple hours feeling good. Passed the god awful barium swallow test. That was my first drink since Monday night. Had nothing by mouth yesterday at all Have been on liquids since 10:30 this morning and not nauseous In a little pain in odd places as it goes down. Like my side and back but to be expected it's radiating. It's staying down and that's all I can ask for

STRICTLY VENTING
Stop wasting your time with the pcp and just use your Obgyn.

STRICTLY VENTING
Of your pcp isn't cooperating how about your Obgyn? As to psych eval - why do they need to approve it? Are you in an HMO ?

My surgery was today and i feel great!
Hi all it's about 3 am So this has been a FANTASTIC experience. Arrived at 830 to hospital and Met with surgeon at 10:45 Went into surgery at 11:00 I was prepped in the or and I think by 11:25 was out like a light Hubby said I returned to recovery at about 1 I stayed in recovery until 6pm woke up around 3 and was in agony but nurses were great they had some drugs ready for me. The found a hernia on my diaphragm and have to say so far that has been the majority of my pain. I was unable to take too many deep breaths all shallow as diaphragm was in pain I have pain on upper incisions as well and nowhere else I think 6 nurses have remarked on how wonderful my incisions look. I haven't drank anything yet. Nothing. No ice chips not a tiny sip of Water. Will not have until swallow test in the morning. Doc ordered some soaked qtips to help out. I brought my chap stick as someone else suggested. I was up and walking at 615pm to go to bathroom so walked all of 4 feet! A couple of hours later I walked the hallway outside my room. Did that 3 times. Maybe 10 feet back and forthw once each time At 12am felt so good I walked that hallway 6 times. All in all great experience so far Gas wise haven't had much maybe a little tiny but that started around 2am. No nauseau yet. Maybe after am allowed to drink. Hopefully the rest of the experience goes as well as it did today!

Only required to follow a 24 hour Pre-op plan. What to do 2-4 weeks before?
Also start with not drinking while eating and waiting 30 minutes after that was a slight challenge
