Should I tell my boss I am having WLS or just say I need medical leave?
I would not lie and say it's related to your existing condition That condition is covered by FMLA and if you don't apply for new FMLA you are not protected

Pre op surg and constipation
Don't think I was expecting this. A little concerned. Cleared up today but was difficult to expel. Best way to put that. I had the same consistency and problem post c-section. One of those I ended up in ER impacted. Is this normal? I was expecting to need prune juice post surgery but not before. Surg is tuesday

Should I tell my boss I am having WLS or just say I need medical leave?
I told my boss last year and she reacted very negatively. I proceeded anyway. As she realized I was serious she is now accepting of it. Not exactly like she can do anything about it. I also told my coworkers and my direct employees. I don't care who knows really. Their small mind opinions are there own

Doctor Requirements - Stuck in Approval
My doc doesn't require a weight loss unless you are over a 50 bmi or higher. Then he wants you to lose 5-10% of that

EGD
It was really easy and I was scared as hell I totally understand Michael Jackson addiction now as I was given propophyl. Best nap ever!! Woke up not groggy and was ready to go I. 20 minutes I went shopping afterwards and got myself a late spade bag Came home are an egg white omelet and took a nap. A month later I went for colonoscopy and not scared at all. Was great experience

? For those who are allowed Raw Veggies on pre-op diet
I am allowed as many vegetables as I want but avocado and tomato were clearly labeled fruits and not part of my plan. I can have a half avocado but as a snack with the 1 meal I can have a day. That's it. Otherwise not so bad. Doing ok.

Insurance or Self-Pay?
So item 1 - you don't have another plan. You're paying cash. Second piece of this - you don't know if it will be covered because you're not following the prior requirements. The requirements are the 6 month diet plan/or nutritional monitoring I think you are putting yourself at risk

back pain
I am having back pain and am jn pre op diet. I've lost 14 pounds. I am feeling sciatica like pain. I experienced same level of pain in the same area of my back during pregnant as I was gaining weight

Ex-Friend Keeps Writing Negatively About Me on Different Blogs and Web Sites
Sorry. I am going against the grain here. Can't throw stones at her about talking about you if you come on here and repost what she's saying. You're both causing each other pain. Either let it go and move on. Or keep posting about her and what she says. Reinforcing her message. After you stop posting about her- and I mean permanently - and she continues - document when you last posted and copy all her posts to paper. Take it to a lawyer and send her a cease and desist letter and if she continues sue her. If you continue to post about her you have no leg to stand on

Day 2 pre op. I am the biggest b***h alive?
No not kidneys - definitely back pain and lots of it When I was pregnant I would get sciatica pain as my weight changed and it almost feels like that. My leg is getting tingles and shooting pains down it from my back.

Overreacting? I want water!
I echo a lot of folks' comments. I think your surgeon did you wrong. Maybe he doesn't think so. He knows you and your family obviously. Maybe he is doing studies on imbrication. Who knows. A lot of folks on here who paid cash are probably really jealous right now. Those of us with insurance are dumbfounded on your behalf. Whatever sounds like you were done wrong. You need to think long and hard about your next steps. Removal will need tobe by this surgeon and he's gonna have to get creative on how to tell your insurance and the hospital what he's doing.

Overreacting? I want water!
I just did a look up and saw a video of this. Sounds awesome. However not around long enough to know long term results. And insurances don't cover the procedure He did it because you were covered for hernia and you got this extra for free basically. Did you get any form of nutritional counseling or any guidance in advance?

Insurance or Self-Pay?
It's not pre existing condition that applies. It's a clause in many insurances (read your policy fine print) that states complications arising from non covered non authorized procedures are not their responsibility. Many policies have it, many do not. Read yours front to back
