I was told at least a month

I have heard 6 weeks but some on here were able to swim in 4 weeks. Your incision should be healed completely before you swim.

My surgeon said 3 wks. And I have been swimming since 3 wks and 1 day out. Like with every surgeon, it varies I guess.

Ask your surgeon. We could take a shower in a few days so you might be able to get in the pool sooner, without swimming. I can see where strenuous swimming could hurt. I lifted a laundry basket 3 weeks after surgery and had to rest in bed 24 hours with discomfort. We would have been swimming in our pool but it was Nov/Dec for our surgery. We swim every day since March. Might be different if it is a community pool.

I was told 2 weeks and only walking then when I feel strong I can start swimming

I was told to wait a month before swimming again

I was told no soaking /swimming for 3 weeks
