August 11!!

August 11th here!!! Was suppose to start my two week pre op diet on Monday....that did not happen! But I did start today and I dying for food LOL...... I had three shakes so far 2 cups of carrots with fat free dressing and two egg whites! I really want to eat but I know I need to stop and just stick to this! HELP

Ahhhhh I just got my clearance from pulmonary (FINALLY), I had my pre admissions testing yesterday, I go for my last nutrition class today, start two week pre-op diet Monday and then surgery is August 11th!!!!! THIS IS REALLY HAPPENING!!!!!! I am excited,nervous, scared, happy, anxious plus a 1000 other feelings rolled into one!!!!!!!!

Yay sooooo excited for all of us!!!!...... My last hurdle ...I "failed" my sleep study test so they are setting me up with a cpap machine ???? my pulmonologist won't give me the clearance until I get set up with it!!! Ughhhhhh SOOO annoying hoping this doesn't effect my august 11th date I already took the time off work

How long till you can swim after surgery??

Hi everyone I am august 11th!!!! Getting close I am SOOO excited!!! ????

Had my pre op sleep study at home last night!!! It was horrible I woke up 3x without the nose things in and woke up a 4th time to myself ripping everything off!!! I can't sleep with anything on me! I hope this doesn't screw things up!!! I sleep fine I know I have no issues but I don't think the doctor believes me!!

I am exactly 2 months away from mine too!! August 11th..... And I feel the same way!!!!! I feel like I have to eat all the foods I love now before I have the surgery! I keep saying I am going to start a strict diet but then I eat ????. I am down 5lbs from my initial weigh with my doctor but still I need to start watching!!

Are you driving??? I am questioning it but they stressed so much not to drive today I am nervous to drive right away

I just got done with mine!! Wasn't bad throat hurts a bit but nothing major! ......I did bug out in the operating room through seconds before falling asleep cause I am just ridiculous like that! LOL

Mine is on Tuesday as well!! SOOO nervous ...the only thing keeping me from dwelling on it is the fact that I took the whole day off of work and I plan on taking advantage of the kids being at school and me having no work and going to sit by my friends pool after for the day lol!! GOOD LUCK!!

Thanks everyone!!! You really helped! It's hard for me to keep a secret especially from my mom and sister but I know it's best!! ...my husband knows and a few select friends and that's it!

I Am sitting next to my mom on the beach and dying to tell her about my surgery BUT I know she would tell all Her sisters and my entire family will know by the end of the day!!! I don't mind telling people after my surgery and once I start loosing but I am nervous something will get in the way and I won't be able to get it done

GOOD FOR YOU!!! I am too scared to tell people for those exact reasons!!! It's sooooo hard not to tell people especially family!! I have only told 3 select friends (not even my best friends!!) and two trusting co workers only because they opened up to me about having the surgery as well!!! ... I am so nervous now and I am still two months away I can't imagine what I will be like 3 weeks away it will definitely be a bad of mixed emotions don't let people get the best of you!!! I find myself coming on here every night before bed or when I am feeling to urge to tell more people to remind myself how great of a support system we have on here even with complete strangers!!!! Keep up the hard work and keep us updated on how your doing!!!

I had my exercise stress test today and tomorrow I have EKG next Tuesday is the scope And then I have 3 more appointments till I am done with all pre op things!!! Surgery is august 11 can't wait!!
