How do you know if you have a leak? What are the sympotoms?

YAY! I feel like a slacker though...lol did anyone gain a lot of weight in hospital? I was only in for 1 night and came home 10lbs heavier, I finally lost those10 lbs but only lost 3 after that....I hope this doesn't mean I will be a slow loser

Did anyone gain a lot of weight in the hospital from all the fluids? I was only in hospital 1 day and when I came home and weighted myself I was 10 lbs heavier. Now 1 week post op I finally lost those 10 lbs and only 3 extra... does this mean im going to be a slow loser

1 week post op today... I was feeling pretty good but as of late evening last night I don't know if I turned wrong or lifted something I wasn't suppose to but my main incision hurts like hell. It feels like the first day of surgery. Im worried but just taking it super easy. Follow up is on Friday.

4 days post op..doing ok...still lots of pain at large incisions sites when getting up and down or trying to sit. Ive been trying to walk as much as possible. I am having a hard time getting water in, not because of nausea or anything...I sip sip all day but I just don't feel like im getting very far. Also came home from hospital 10lbs heavier that really sucked all those iv fluids and gas. I can't wait until I can sleep on my side again..sleeping on my back with a million pillows is getting old, lol. Has anyone experienced Diarehha? I have it and don't understand how because I don't have food in my tummy. Just broth, water and alittle protein drink.

Its 4:40 am here in CA where I am and Im getting ready to leave for hospital. Surgery at 7:30...today is our day! Good luck and prayers for everyone. we got this!!

yep, I had some slip ups...but never anything too bad. I did have like string cheese or lunch meat when I felt I needed food, but it's hard to get back on track after the slip up. You got this, you are doing Great! Keep up the good work

Ive been on my liquid diet since June 4th... the premier Protein shakes I love and stomaching those aren't that bad..its the powder protein..makes me sick just typing about it..LOL YES! I am loathing my shakes. It makes it harder knowing I will have to rely on them for my protein weeks after the surgery too. My head is playing mean games with me. All I can think about is all the foods I want. We have this though. We've worked so hard for months to get here, we can do it a few more days! I am a little worried about the day before. I have been told I can't have anything but clear liquids. No shakes. Popsicles and broth are my friends I guess.

OMG...our time is coming up soon!! I have a question, anyone else finding it more and more difficult to stomach the protein shakes??!!! Everyday gets harder and harder to stomach them. I want to gag and vomit and its not even after surgery yet! Man this sucks!

Just got the call that my surgery will be the first of the day on June 18th. I have to be at hospital at 5:15am surgery at 7:30 and my Dr. does the gastric sleeve with a robot assistance. Anyone elses Dr do the surgery robotically? Wonder if it cost more?
