1 week post op today

Did anyone gain a lot of weight in the hospital from all the fluids? I was only in hospital 1 day and when I came home and weighted myself I was 10 lbs heavier. Now 1 week post op I finally lost those 10 lbs and only 3 extra... does this mean im going to be a slow loser :(

Hey, I'm 1 week post-op too and they warned me at the hospital that I would gain weight since they were pushing fluids big-time. That was good - kept me hydrated through the long wait until they finished the fluoroscopy and let me drink again! It looks like I am about 12 lbs down since I started the pre-operative diet. Try not to obsess about your weight - concentrate on following the diet and the weight will come off inevitably.

Same here. I am going to start my weight on the day of surgery. I also gained 10 or 11 lbs when I got home from the hospital. It is too early to say if we will be a fast or slow loser. I just want to be a loser...........

Same here. One week after surgery, I was up one pound. It got better the second week, but stalled on eek three. Now five weeks out I'm down 16 pounds, which is okay.
