I know this probably sounds weird, but do you remove your underwear for this surgery usually? Thinking about clothes, grooming, etc.

I think you have to be completely naked under the hospital gown to preserve the sterile environment of the operating room.

i was totally nekkid under my gown for mine. can't say if that's universal or not.

I was on my menses so they gave me special undies and a pad.

Yes you are they put the Cather in and everything.

I specifically asked my Dr about a catheter and he said they don't typically use them-keeping my fingers crossed on that one!

No catheter here but completely nude

Bed pan was an experience I don't want to repeat anytime soon
