    Multivitamin

celebrate multivitamin capsules are great (what my surgeon recommended)
  2. Everyone has given good advice. I remember I had to take a client to lunch when I was on full liquids. I ordered a grilled chicken salad and just "played around with it". No one noticed at all and I took the "left overs" home to my husband. I suggest ordering a cup of Soup for an appetizer and have a few sips, then a piece of fish (even a shrimp appetizer-I even did this sometimes before my surgery). Bottom line-it's all how you handle it-make it "not a big deal" and no one will pay attention. Good luck!

Don't worry that is normal.. You will lose all that extra weight in a day or 2 max.. Believe me the more i ate the more weight i lost, and stalls are 100% normal especially starting week 5 .. Try to eat 5 meals a day.. I know its not easy, but try.. BUT, always keep in mind, low calorie, low fat and low sugar food.... Good luck How many calories do you eat per day? I'm on puréed and get around 500( to get my 60 GMS of protein).
  4. I'm not sure where you live but they sell it at GNC. Vitamin shoppe

Tiredmama-is your stomach growling like crazy after you "eat" your puréed food?
  7. I'm July 22nd as well!! In 2 weeks my life will be changed forever. To anyone that has already has this surgery.....info or advice on what to pack!?? I'm supposed to stay one night after surgery and want to be as comfy as possible. Do we Bring our own pjs? What about the drive home...stretchy shorts I'm assuming!!? Sooooooooo ready!! I overpacked. I didn't use anything other than a hair brush, toothbrush and toothpaste. You don't need pj's or a robe. I was there less than 24 hrs and left wearing the same thing I wore in (big comfy tshirt and lounge pants and flip flops). Good luck!

I don't have a calorie requirement. I'm supposed to have 45-60 GMS protein and 48-64 oz water per day.

    Exercise....

I love spinning class (3 x week) and Pilates. Can't wait to get cleared. Once I drop enough weight I will add a yoga class.

I'm on full liquids until the 15th, then puréed. feeling great-driving, lots of walking.
  11. I highly recommend the EAS Advantage Carb Control shakes in dark rich chocolate. They are ready made and my dr allowed 1-2 per day (17gm protein). I get them real cold and they taste great.

I'm not itchy. I'm bitchy. I think I've been in this nunnery a little too long! I need to be out and about with actual human beings (who aren't on a television set). Although I don't know what I'd talk about...except my gas, my favorite liquids, my incredible bad breath -- yeah, maybe it's better that I just live out the rest of m life alone in front of the TV. My recommendation for anyone contemplating bariatric surgery: Don't do it during summer reruns! Exactly!!
  14. I'm on full liquids. We didn't do anything. I'll be so glad when I get to the soft food stage. Right now I feel totally isolated and anti-social which is depressing. It will help when I go back to work next week. I'm also hosting a birthday party next month. I know this is all temporary, I'll just be glad to get back to "normal" as I'm too extroverted to sit around doing nothing.

You can have canned tuna with fat free mayo, avocados, scrambled eggs, baked, broiled or grilled fish, and any meat that has been cooked all day in the crockpot when you are at the soft food stage. I still on full liquids but I bought a book (Amazon/Kindle) called Weight Loss Surgery Cookbook. It has great ideas and recipes for each stage. I think it's awesome because I'm not that creative and really wanted some input for puréed and soft foods.

A little itchy-I'll just be glad when the soreness on the left heals up. When I walk it feels like I need to wear spanx or some kind of support

Can you all give some samples of what you're eating in the puréed stage? Thanks!

I think I'm going to get some soups today ie Thai , hot and sour, wonton, etc. will strain the solids out of them and hope they aren't too salty. Still sore on my left side but drinking is easier.
  21. How about putting protein powder in soup or SF pudding?

I'm doing better each day. Left side is still sore i.e. tough to roll up out of bed, but even that is improving each day. I walked more and had more stamina today. I started full liquids-I was happy I was able to get shakes down with no problem. Can anyone recommend a good soup? (low sodium is now too salty and pop sicles are too sweet/tart). My list also includes SF FF fudgsicles so I need to find those. I'd really like a yummy soup though....I'll be on full liquids until day 14 then move to pureed. How's everyone else?
