Missing out?!
You can eat at places like ihop or waffle house. A scrambled egg is easy protein and can last quite a few bites to stretch out your social time.

My first holiday since weight loss surgery.......
And it went fantastic. The menu was hot dogs and hamburgers with potato salad. Watermelon and cantaloupe for dessert. The host was so sweet, I asked where the chips were so I could put them on the kid's plates I was preparing. The answer? I didn't get any because I didn't want it to be a difficult thing for you. How awesome is that!!?? Since the grill was being used I brought some seasoned chicken kabobs and zucchini yellow squash and green pepper kabobs. It went so well and I feel fantastic. How was everyone else's holiday?

do you notice a pattern with WL?
I am 5 weeks out and stalled again. This one has lasted about 10 days. The pattern I am noticing is where I stall. Before surgery I had tried to lose weight and would always get stuck right before reaching the 100's. I am stuck there again after surgery. Is this a body reaction or something I should not be facing after surgery? (As in i need to change something) understand plateaus are normal, but are they usually along the same lines as plateaus before?

What do you miss most after Weight Loss Surgery?
I miss popcorn and chips. I never liked sweet desserts or icecream but I ate my popcorn every night. I'm only a little over 3 weeks put so the full excitement of the new me hasn't happened. I thought going out to eat would be miserable but honestly it isnt hard or miserable. I have to avoid the chips aisle at the grocery store.

3.5 weeks out
Good point. I should just be the tortoise and truck along. I am just too type A. I want it all now. I know I shouldn't compare, but that's so hard.

3.5 weeks out
I am down from 235 to 208. Should I be less by now? I see so many people down 40 or more one month out. Also while the scale shows the loss the clothes barely fit differently. Ugh.... anyone btdt?

Brand new, nervous and excited!
Hi! I am new and nervous. My surgery is this Wednesday the 21st. I am having Gastric Bypass. My current weight is 130. I have wanted this for 2 years but due to insurance requirements I kept barely missing the BMI criteria. Any helpful things regarding the 3 day full liquid would be appreciated. My biggest fear is messing up. I have been given a great gift to have a second chance at a healthy life. I don't want to mess up.
