  3. Everyone has given good advice. I remember I had to take a client to lunch when I was on full liquids. I ordered a grilled chicken salad and just "played around with it". No one noticed at all and I took the "left overs" home to my husband. I suggest ordering a cup of Soup for an appetizer and have a few sips, then a piece of fish (even a shrimp appetizer-I even did this sometimes before my surgery). Bottom line-it's all how you handle it-make it "not a big deal" and no one will pay attention. Good luck!

  6. Don't worry that is normal.. You will lose all that extra weight in a day or 2 max.. Believe me the more i ate the more weight i lost, and stalls are 100% normal especially starting week 5 .. Try to eat 5 meals a day.. I know its not easy, but try.. BUT, always keep in mind, low calorie, low fat and low sugar food.... Good luck How many calories do you eat per day? I'm on puréed and get around 500( to get my 60 GMS of protein).

  14. I'm July 22nd as well!! In 2 weeks my life will be changed forever. To anyone that has already has this surgery.....info or advice on what to pack!?? I'm supposed to stay one night after surgery and want to be as comfy as possible. Do we Bring our own pjs? What about the drive home...stretchy shorts I'm assuming!!? Sooooooooo ready!! I overpacked. I didn't use anything other than a hair brush, toothbrush and toothpaste. You don't need pj's or a robe. I was there less than 24 hrs and left wearing the same thing I wore in (big comfy tshirt and lounge pants and flip flops). Good luck!

  17. I don't have a calorie requirement. I'm supposed to have 45-60 GMS protein and 48-64 oz water per day.

  20. I love spinning class (3 x week) and Pilates. Can't wait to get cleared. Once I drop enough weight I will add a yoga class.
  21. I'm on full liquids until the 15th, then puréed. feeling great-driving, lots of walking.
  22. I highly recommend the EAS Advantage Carb Control shakes in dark rich chocolate. They are ready made and my dr allowed 1-2 per day (17gm protein). I get them real cold and they taste great.
