  1. Nice to see ya here!!! I hope you find the answers to all your questions.
  2. I know I sound like a broken record, but you are still in the healing phase, it's about healing not losing weight right now. Generally you won't lose weight on mushy's.
  3. I hope she gets to feeling better soon. I know the first week or two can certainly be difficult. I am a happy bandster if that's any help.

Anyone else on it?? I'm at: http://www.myspace.com/msbutterkup23
  5. I can't believe that friend didn't know better. Did the friend know she had WLS?
  6. I believe, (may not be right) 2 are for instruments 1 is for the port 1 is for the camera and the last one is for the liver retractor
  7. I have a membership at Curves that I haven't used in a couple months. I really need to go, you know the story. I do shop a lot so I walk the malls a lot, but it's during shopping so I dunno if that counts. My 15 month old is going back to daycare next week so I will have an open schedule to go back to Curves. I'm also getting a fill next week so that always motivates me.
  8. I know they just started doing LapBand here in TX.. traditionally they pushed GB. That might be why it's hard to find someone who has used them.
  9. Thanks, that would be my next step personally if something happened and I lost my band.
  10. That's the same thing my doctor told me. I have lost probably 2-3 lbs in the past month. I decided to wait until after the holidays to get a fill. Mine is on Jan. 3rd.
  11. I barely remember my barium swallow (30 minutes after waking up)...mostly wondering why the heck they got me up to drink this nasty stuff...lol
  12. I too am not a model bandster. Today I ate some left over Christmas chocolate and some potato chips because I wanted something salty and crunchy. I know that my monthly visitor talked me into it. At this point all I can do is make better choices tomorrow. I started feeling more in control after my 2nd fill. I know sometimes I get down and really beat myself down. You have to learn to love yourself and be respect the body that was given to you (meaning don't fill it with junk). I sincerely wish you the best.
  13. Sorry to hear she is having a difficult time. We all have been there. I wouldn't mind talking to your daughter if you would like on the phone. I was a heavy teenager and at 27 I finally have control over my life. Send me a PM if you would like for me to talk to her online or phone.
  14. I was banded by him in August, my hubby is going to have his surgery in January. I've been happy with them, I also had my surgery at Rennissance (sp) Hospital and was happy with them.
  15. Count me in just let me know when.. I have some 22/24, need 16/18 (shirts only).
  16. I had surgery with him on August 9th. I've been very pleased with him and his office. My hubby is going to get banded with him sometime in January. If you have any questions feel free to contact me. No, he doesn't make you weigh in with your shoes, he has a special scale that does BMI and fat counts you stand on it barefoot w/o shoes or socks.
  17. Girl you look goooooood!! Congrats on the weight loss!!
  18. Microsoft (DH's employer) is self insured and covered 100% with no copays. I know I am very fortunate and I thank God for Microsoft each day.
  19. I know that there is a lot of talk about erosions lately and most (if not all) were those who had no choice but Mexico. Anyone have problems with erosion and were banded in the US. I am just curious.
  20. I live in the Mesquite area... just let me know when..
  21. I like that idea.. Because you never know if you might eventually have to get your gallbladder or appendix taken out. There are just a few things in your body you don't need and cysts on your ovaries are one of them plus it will keep the men in the office from getting into it too much.
  22. I also know that Paxil isn't too much fun to come off of. A friend of mine was on it and it's not fun.
  23. Please tell me you weren't on birth control. I am extremely afraid of getting more fertile and becoming pregnant again (I have a 14 month old)
  24. I was just curious of anyone is on Zoloft here for depression/anxiety. I was taking only taking Lexapro, but it seemed to stop working so we are weaning off the Lexapro (next week) once I get to a high enough dosage of Zoloft in my system to be effective. Anyone else on Zoloft? Any drawbacks?
