@jane13 - I stayed overnight, but bout 4 hours after surgery I was up and moving on my own. I went in for Surgery on a Tuesday and came back to work the next Monday. A little pain but got one of those small neck pillows and put it between my stomach and my desk and worked fine. I would recommend the sleeve over the band just because the sleeve is one and done. Where the band is you have to keep coming in to the Dr. for adjustments, or so my Dr. said which I believed him because he talked me into the Sleeve and glad I went with it.

Am I eating enough to lose weight?

After 2 1/2 months, I was stalling not gaining or losing. Tip is working out, after a while it doesnt matter how little you eat. You have to move to get results.
  6. Down 60 pounds in a little over 3 months, Turning up on the working out. Cease The Day!

    Before Photos

The before photos, my surgery was June 4th cant wait for the after photos months from now.
  9. Thinking out loud, but every other forum topic is a "Pity Party". People please, keep your head up and move forward. Everyone on here Im sure has struggled with food, hunger, cheating, etc. once in their life. Move on, especially ones who have had their surgery. Put your head up these are happy days, you have been given a gift. Instead of crying about what you cant eat, go to the gym, go outside, ride a bike, etc. You should have known what you were getting into. And know that this is for the better, this is a gift, this is a second chance, and get on board and worry about that!

Need names of good protein powder

Isopure, 50 Grams of Protein and Zero carbs, mix 2 scoops with 12 ounces of Milk and you have almost 60 grams of protein. It doesnt taste too bad either. I just use it because its one of the higher Proteins with no carbs.
  11. 1st day back at work, feeling pretty good. Down 32 pounds.

I like to use the big number too. I remember how it physically and emotionally felt to weigh that much and I don't ever want to be there again. And for me it does show my total progress on this choice I made.

    Sleeved tomorrow June 3rd

Thanks everyone for the kind words, I made it home yesterday after a long night in the hospital. When I move around mostly getting in and out of a chair or bed my sides start tp really hurt. Bust so far thats it, no nausea. I ended up losing 18 pounds during the pre 2 week liquid diet. So I was super happy to see helped. Thanks again for the prayers and well wishers.
  13. Finally the count down has begun, less than 24 hours and I will be at the hospital for the gastric sleeve and hernia surgery. Ready for it to be over, jumped through a lot of hoops to get here. And the liquid diet for me was def a challenge, even though people say they had no problems doing it. I will admit it was extremely hard for me. Thanks to everyone on here, I dont post much but I do read a lot of the forums for ideas and information. I wouldnt be as confident if it wasnt for finding this site. Ill see yall on the other side!
