  1. I've been getting in about 2 bottles of water a day on a good day and a protein shake. Most days I get my vitamins in.
  2. I'm for Va as well. There is a ton of historical stuff to do Colonial Williamsburg etc but there is also Busch Gardens or Kings Dominion amusement parks and the beach as well as deep sea fishing!
  3. I'm a sugar addict and started my diet eliminating sugar over 6 mos pre sleeve. What helped me was when I had a craving to eat a couple of really strong pickles instead ( I like claussen or dill). Once you get that taste in your mouth it pretty much kills the urge and you couldn't taste the sugary treat even if you ate it at that point, so it would be a disappointment.
  4. Well for anyone who might have read the original post, I had cramps on my right side into my back all night. Finally went to sleep after 1 am but my hubby said I was cringing and moaning in my sleep. Dr ordered tests that came back normal so he seems to think Im having muscle spasms and has me off work until Monday. I looked up muscle spasms and they can be caused by dehydration so be careful to get your liquid in. These sharp pains aren't fun.
  5. 4 weeks post op and went back to work at my 12 hour shift. It was a very rough day to say the least but my body didn't feel like it while I was doing my job. Now that I'm home I'm miserable and having sharp pains pretty consistently in my back and stomach. I thought it might be constipation so took some MOM and it helped pass some stuff but hasn't helped with the sharp pains. Anyone have any similar thing happen when going back to work? Otherwise I've been pretty textbook I think. Don't want to call my dr unnecessarily but probably will if it doesn't stop in the next 2 hours. I'm due back at work at 5:30 am and really can't afford to miss.
  6. Oh my Lord! Sounds like you do need prayers of guidance over them! Hope they get to a conclusion for you that is fixable and easily so!
  7. Lipstick lady you are inspiring! Would be honored to look as good as you do! Thanks for sharing your photos! Your arms look tiny!
  8. Love this original post and the following posts! I'm still a newbie at 4 weeks post but feel like I will always be a newbie. Always be learning and struggling with my food addictions. It's uplifting to me to know that I can come here and ask a question and know that there are real people who have experienced the problem I may be having that will help. I have push overs in my life who would overlook my eating badly after my surgery, I don't need or want it here. Thank you for taking the time to help me and others like me who really are serious about this lifestyle change.
  9. Awesome job! Your work is paying off!
  10. He should have an answering service that pages him. I'd call it if the pain is truly bad
  11. I haven't had that problem. I'd probably call my dr office just to ease my mind.
  12. If it's pain in your chest that was pretty normal for me until about the second week as well as pain in my left ribcage.
  13. I get my premier shakes from samsclub. It's cheapest there
  14. I just called my surgeon and he called me in an antibiotic

We found an awesome series called Flashpoint on Netflix. I've never heard of it and there are 5 seasons on here!
  16. Endless I recommend blow drying your belly button dry after cleaning and showering.
  17. Sleeved 11/11/13 sw: 237 cw: 206 GW: 136
  18. If you're on Pinterest search high protein or Adkins diet and you will find tons of ideas
  19. Please keep us updated on how you are doing
  20. Sf pudding, water flavoring like mio etc, cream soups and broths, sf jello, premiere protein or whatever type you choose- just remember protein you like now will probably be too sweet post op. Gas x, miralax or milk of magnesia, heat pad
  21. Checking in@ 205. 3# down from last week. SW: 237 sleeved 11/11/13 GW: 138
  22. Pack jerky, protein, nuts (if you're allowed), gas x, and tums and flavor packets for waters. Take good compression socks for walking and comfy shoes and a heat pad in case you get sore at night.
  23. Totally normal for the first week to two weeks. Try different temp waters and if it still hurts try to flavor it. I couldn't tolerate water and still add flavoring to mine at 4 weeks post op. It will get better and easier! Just concentrate on getting in as much water as you can right now. First week I got pretty much no protein and was good to get in a bottle of water and some sf Popsicles. Just stay hydrated.
