  1. Sleeved 11/11/13 SW 237. Weight now: 190.
  2. Is there a chance you're pregnant?

Anyone watching Helix? My husband recorded the first two shows and we are watching it tonight. It's awesome so far! The entire show keeps you guessing and on edge!
  4. Broken Wing- Martina Mcbryde
  5. I have two acquaintances who had the bypass. The first friends intestines twisted and fell into the "gap" where they had removed them from and she almost died. The second is in an induced coma right now because she hemmorhaged during the procedure. On the flip side I have 4 acquaintances who had the sleeve and the worst complaint was having gallbladder issues and acid reflux. I chose sleeve and am 10 weeks post surgery now and have lost from 237 to 190 with minimal acid indigestion. It's a huge decision whatever you choose and no matter what your choice, I wish you luck.
  6. Change for significant other for vending machine, Insurance card, Earplugs, Chapstick, phone, charger, slippers, makeup, deodorant. My hospital provided small tummy pillow. Leave at home: jewelry.
  7. I'm definitely not complaining its just something new to get used to. At times it was a relief to burp and now the fact that I can't even make myself is just different. Lol no burping contests for me!
  8. So funny! Two of my co-workers told me this week that if I lose much more I will "blow away"! I responded that I have 50 more to go and that I still weighed 193 and their mouths gape as if I'm lying! It's funny how different people react. I just try to be positive and act appreciative.
  9. Wanting to eat more than my sleeve will tolerate and fast!
  10. I'm almost 10 weeks post sleeve now and although I hadn't realized it until my husband commented on it, I no longer have issues with monstrous belches or gas. I can't even make myself burp like I previously could to alleviate the stomach gases. Anyone else have these results? I'm guessing its because I'm not scarfing down food and I'm also not eating much raw veggies yet.
  11. Splenda or I have monk in the raw too. Sometimes I just use locally made honey though
  12. Would love a recipe for the marinade!
  13. Lol tell her she's come over when you were "getting in the mood" and that to eliminate any embarrassment she needs to call before showing up.
  14. Im in my third month and still can't do scrambled eggs or egg whites. I can do fried eggs though so not sure what's up with that. There's an egg custard recipe on bariatriceating that was a staple for me early on. It sits well on the stomach and is easy to make in individual portions. I also ate cream of chicken soup, mash potatoes with processed chicken or turkey mixed in them, the broth from chicken noodle soup.. Keep trying different things. One week something won't work and two weeks later it will.
  15. I have Aetna and I had to do 6 consecutive months of dr visits with documented proof of weight and a dr prescribed weight loss plan, a nutritionist visit, a psych eval & my dr required a scope test down my throat to check for hernias etc before surgery as well as I asked for a gallbladder test.
  16. I had 2 c-sections a partial hysterectomy and then my cervix taken out all pre-sleeve and my dr didn't have any problem performing the sleeve surgery from what he said.
  17. Are you having regular bowel movements? That could be a sign of irregularity.
  18. Surgery 11/11 down from 237 to 193 today. I eat egg custard, fried eggs, cottage cheese with fruit, deli meat with cheese, protein rich cereal, skim milk, protein shakes, cheeses and jerky as well as chicken, sliced beef and avacado
  19. Mine is dannon Greek light&fit yogurt, sugar free water flavorings, waters, Braums skim milk, eggs, cheeses, turkey bacon, jerky, cottage cheese, sugar free pudding mixes, chai spice hot tea bags, tilapia, veggies, fruit, chicken, tuna fish, sugar substitute, great northern beans, ham, refried beans
  20. I have a flexees swimsuit type and love it
  21. I have a shaper that is flexees brand and I love it! It fits like a one piece swimsuit but snaps at the crotch. It works really well and is comfy
  22. What kind of juicer do you have? I'm looking into getting one and juicing after watching a documentary on net flicks but not sure what to look for to get best for less
  23. Agreed that if it were a life saving option I would do anything for my child. I hope they keep updating so that the story can be followed.
  24. Would like to try this as well
  25. Mistysj I'm sorry but your response here just seems to be very belittling to those of us who were having a mature conversation. I don't understand the logic behind your assuming that any of us think we have the answers and for the record I never stated that I thought there was no psychologist or psychiatrist involved. Seems to me that you are the only one presuming things in this conversation.
