One Year Surgiversary! 119 lbs GONE! I feel better than I have in years and years! Only regret is that I didn't do it sooner when the band failed 5 years ago. I want to thank you all for your encouragement, your stories, your advice and just plain sharing the good, bad, ugly and the HOPE we all have.

Crazy month for me...finally broke into the 160's. Only 29 pounds to go. I have slowed way down on weight loss, but I have not eaten healthy. My husband had 2 strokes and surgery the first week of April. He is still in a rehab hospital gaining some mobilty back. He comes home May 4th. I will be so glad to have him home, and to return to some kind of normal. A new normal for us but with God in our lives a better normal.

Great moment....I helped decorate at the church last night, and I climbed up and down on a chair to do lights. It has been a long time that my knees could handle that!!

I just past the 100 lb mark!!!! I have officially lost 101 lbs!! Woot Woot!!! Going on the K-Love Cruise to the Bahama's this week too! Miami, here we come...and can't wait for the warmth.

Well it is nearly 2015. I have to say, I am glad to see how much more I can do this coming year! We leave for the KLOVE Cruise in January, and we are going to go snorkeling, hiking, etc. I can't wait. I am down 98lbs. What a wonderful decision to have bypass. Wishing you all a Great, Healthy and Happy New Year!

Well haven't competed for over a year, plantar faciaitis (sp?) finally letting up. So I will be walking in the Turkey Run/Walk 5K Thanksgiving morning! Excited to get back out there.

Snow finally melted off today. Thankful I don't live in Buffalo NY. Prayers for those affected.

Onderland...I have arrived! It has been 17 years since I weighed under 200. I feel so good.
-
Sitting at 200.....less than one pound to ONEderland!
-
Well I just realized that I am crossing my legs again!! I was sitting in church and looked down, and was like "wow" I don't remember how long it has been. I wondered how come it seemed so hard to do before and it was my weight! What a blessing this wls has been.
-
Dr.s office called and rescheduled my 6 month check up. it is about 3 weeks earlier than I expected. I really wanted to be under 200 by then. With my weight loss slowing down, I may not make it. But on the bright side...I haven't been this light for years! It will be great to lose through the holidays for the first time EVER!!

Wow..just 6 pounds from onderland! And I just bought a pair of size 18 jeans ... it has been soooo long! Thank you God for helping me make the decision for wls.

Seeing the scale move again has been a relief. 2 tenths from losing 80 lbs. It is so exciting to see myself weighing less than I have for years. I just wanted to say how much I appreciate everyone here and all your support!!

Finally dropped a pound...have been stuck for 12 days at 211. I saw 210 this morning!! Onederland is getting close!

I am past my half way mark, I can not believe it. So glad to have made the decision to have bypass. All the fears, the struggles, the hard work are really worth it. Feeling better than I have in years. Thank you all for being such an inspiration while I was deciding what to do.

3 month check up yesterday. Down a total of 67 lbs from heaviest weight. 46 from surgery date. All blood work good. So glad to have made the decision for wls.

Started training for the 1/2 marathon this week. 3 miles Tuesday and 3 miles tonight, then Saturday morning! I am a walker, so no speed records. Looking forward to beating my last years time with some of the excess weight gone.
-
The YMCA is sponsoring it. They have a 13 week training session leading up to it. (they even had a 5 week jump start, to get people ready to go from 1 mile to 3 miles. the 13 weeks go 3Xs a week. 3 miles, 3 miles, 3 miles. then 3,3,4. then 3,3,5 eventually getting to 5,5,11. It is great fun to train with up to 500 people at a time, and so much encouragement, you can't believe it. I have re-injured my knee, and may not get to do it, but will be walking at a slower pace for less time until then.

Post Op Day 8! Back to work 1/2 days started yesterday. I am worn out so easy (wierd to feel this way), but I have made it, I am trying to just drink one extra protien shake to max my total for now. Even went to Bible Study class tonight. I have dropped the 7lbs gain from fluid at surgery plus 4 more. Friday will be my post op appt with the surgeon, excited to see where I am then. Good night all.
