but i seem to work up a sweat doing relatively easy things, like changing the baby, or getting ready for work...hope this goes away!

i was banded on the 4th too, but my problem is the opposite! i just go and go... sorry i cant be of help. and if anyone has any suggestions for me?? not to hijack your post....sorry!

(in general, i know everyone is different) and how can i tell when its going away? is that why i am starting to feel hungry now? and i am SO freakin thristy, this sip sip sip thing doesnt seem to keep me hydrated. any suggestions on what to try?

i get this icky pukey feeling and it feels like i need to burp but cant. it really makes me feel just bad. any suggestions? walking doesnt seem to help. i am still on clear liquids, and have been super careful not to drink fast or gulp. it sometimes feels maybe like hearburn too, but the tums dont do anything for it. is this just a soon-after-surgery type thing? anyone else experiencing this? please help. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

how is the taste? which flavor do you use? i am having a hard time gettin in my protein...so far the shakes i have tried taste like crap! i think its a head game too...any suggestions would be great!

please please, drink all you can. i got dehydrated. i cant explain to you what hell it was. i thought i was gonna die, wished it, more like it. everything hurt, i was dizzy,super tired, and did i say how bad everything hurt? yesterday and today i am sipping all i can and am feeling much better. i wont let that happen again!

good to see everyone doing so well. i am still pretty sore around the port incision. the other incisions are itching like crazy, so thats good=healing, right? omg, at times its driving me crazy, lol. a few small words of advice...DRINK DRINK DRINK! i got dehydrated and yesterday was utter hell. i hurt so bad all over, was SUPER nausated, dizzy, and just felt like crap. i was seriously thinking, WHAT HAVE I DONE? i took some anti-nausea meds, sipped all i could all day, and slept. i feel so much better today. but am gonna be damn sure i drink enough! that was horrible and i dont want to go throught that again. on a good note, today i, carefully and gingerly, picked up my sweet baby girl for the first time since i got home. i have held her since then of course, but i picked her up myself today. a little pain, but not bad. good luck to everyone!

i worry about needing a tummy tuck and a breast lift/augmentation. as my doctor was going over things pre-op with me he said to be sure to give myself at least 18 months from surgery before i consider any additional surgeries. he also said that to help the skin be sure to exfoliate (sp?). he said to scrub problem areas very well to help skin to renew. dont know how well that will actually help, but sure isnt gonna hurt to do it! my plan has been that if i do need any surgeries i have to maintain my goal weight for one year before i get it/them. its the deal i made w/ myself and w/ my dh. cant wait to get there!

when i talked to the doc yesterday he was really worried i was getting dehydrated. i sipped fluid all day, forced myself, and took some anti-nausea meds and slept and slept and slept. and then slept somemore... my hubby would wake me up, make me drink, and then i was out again. must have been what i needed. i feel much better today. and i plan on drinking, sipping ALL DAY! i havent felt as bad as i did yesterday, i dont think ever. this morning i have had some gaterade, tea, and protein drink. thanks to everyone that responded. that was scary yesterday. i even started thinking, WHAT THE HELL HAVE I DONE??? but i know, after i am healed and filling back to normal, this will be the best thing i have done for myself!

i can just be sitting here and it hits, or when i stand up after sittin/layin down...could it be gas from the surgery? i am only 4 days post op..thanks!

ok. this prolly sounds stupid, but i never really had heartburn before. what does it feel like? right now i get this incredible pain in my chest that takes my breath away for a few seconds and then slowly subsides. i had some pain like this when i did the fluoroscope (sp wrong, i know, sorry). it really really really hurts. gas x doesnt seem to help. would tums or something like that help? i am not sure even what the pain is. anyone else experiencing/ed this? thanks!

i was banded on the 4th and am back to work today, the 8th. i am a bit more sore then i thought i would be, but i have a pretty easy going job for the most part. plus, i figured, if it gets too much i will just go home. i think it depends person to person, so if you need a couple more days, by all means, take them!

so here it is, 4 days post op and i feel pretty good. i am a little more sore then i thought i would be. i have four incisions, and only one, the big one, where the port is, is sore. each day gets better. i was sure to get up and walk for fear of the damn gas moving into my shoulder (i have had previous surgeries), and i walked and walked and still there is sits. so i have been moving my arms and shoulders tons, prolly look like a 'tard, but it helps. i am drinkin lots---have a 2 week liquid diet and then onto mushies. so far its not bad at all...i am more worried i am not gettin enough in, especially the Protein. i am going to order the flavorless kind today, to add to yogurt and Soup and whatever. when i was in Mexico, the doctor had this protein soy juice..omg, it was so good, but i was told you cant find it in the states...i am gonna look into ordering it online. it was so good, much easier to get in protein that way i think! just wanted to say to everyone and touch base. i will post more later...i am a bit behind here at work after missing those 2 days last week!

and doing great. i am more sore then i though i would be, but all in all, things are good. the flights home were kinda rough, i got really really tired. but i was so glad to be home. i had a wonderful experience w/ my doctor and his staff. they were terrific and treated my mom like gold too! will post more later. congrats to everyone else on the wagon!

OMG! i agree too! you may not agree w/ the war but by god support the men and women who are there fighting so you can sit your ass here and talk crap about it! pisses me off so bad! why dont you just go live in the crappy 3-world country you are so in defensive of! you wouldnt be allowed to say one damn thing like you do here!
