  5. @@Dragonsfairy, Girl I'm right there with you. We've got the same date!! I'm starting my pre-op diet a week early just to simplify things and 2014 seemed like a great place to leave behind my atrocious eating habits. 'It will be OK. Things will fall into place." That's what I keep telling myself I found a surgery planning meditation album on Spotify. Maybe that will help. I know anytime in my life where I have focused my energy, calmed my spirit and expected nothing but the best, its generally happened. I'm trying to let go of my fears because I don't want to chicken out. We had a New Year's party and I got ALL the BEFORE pics I'll ever need. It definitely created a sense of urgency and motivation that I had not experienced before......LOL
  6. @@laurenella82, The hair is definitely getting braided. I'm getting the kinky crochet styles so it looks more 'natural' but I'm NOT dealing with hair after surgery....
  7. @@MamaTo3inNH, For some reason all my years of fat rolls, chaffing and sweating must have diminished my hair follicles down there! I hardly got anything to get rid of...LOL....
  8. @@anaxila, I think its both BUT I got the name wrong (Doh!) its http://www.bodbot.com/ They have photos and vidoes now, so its kinda cool for instructional purposes....

  12. What exactly is bothering you? Can you see your doctor? Maybe an antidepressant to help during this transition? Seeing a therapist? Delayed gratification has never been my strong suit.
  13. Jblkmom, can you message me that list so can compare notes and get started. My date is 1/22. I've got Miralax and post partem belly support and.....

  17. Gah! My date got changed! I'm no longer #team15 but I'm going on 1/22/15....but I'm still starting my pre-op on 1/1/2015....
  18. Hey, I've got some strong stomach muscles, probably some of the strongest in my body from years and years of singing, performing voice lessons yadda yadda yadda.... How long was it before you felt like you could/sing perform with no problems with pain? My surgery date got moved and its backed up close to a performance with a choral concert in which I'll have a sizeable solo - like a week or 2 out from surgery. Am I crazy or being unrealistic thinking I can sing? What say you?
  19. Man! Sounds like compliance gets results! Keep up the good work!
  20. What a difference a year makes..... Get well soon...
  21. I use fitbit to track steps obviously. I have the alarms set every hour (which actually vibrates on my arm-hard to ignore). It reminds me to fill my water bottle at work. I will probably upgrade to the newer models that track hear rate in the upcoming year. I also have the Aria scale which syncs with fitbit and you can sync your myfitnesspal account with fitbit to have better calorie tracking. If you are looking for a daily workout app, I would try Bodybot. It will give you a daily workout based on your goals and if you workout at home or at a gym....it send an email daily and give you get exercises.
  22. My MFP is getitmimi. The pass code to unlock is bariatricpal...I dont want ppl to freak when my calories go down to 500 lol :-)
  23. Spiritedcowgirl63, JjinWa, is doing meetups South.....
  24. I'm an 8 minute drive from Greenlake. I'm a 9-5er and doing a bypass in 4 weeks. I can get around the lake at a pretty good clip, too. If you don't find a sleever, I'm happy to join you or a group....
