After surgery, did you sleep in the bed with your mate/spouse or did post up in a recliner or guest room etc etc?

Surgery Date-January 8, 2015
@@MBM1Forever, Hey, I'm glad you are doing well....I am on the liquids. The only way I'm surviving is that I get to have a modest dinner and pudding and popsicles, sugar free of course. My date got moved back to the 15th from the 22nd if you can believe. I'm glad its earlier but I'm a planner, so as soon as they gave the holler, I'm making plans that all have to rescheduled. Oh well. I'm nervous and can't believe I'm doing it. Good thing I followed my first mind and started the pre-op diet on the 1st, so now I'll ready for the date change anyways...Phew! Sorry for the long answer.

Did anyone eat below 400 or 300 calories for a year post op after gastric sleeve?
Why get a surgery at all? Why eat 300-400 calories? Why not just Water fast? Humans can, well fat humans can live a long time without food at all..... VSGAnn2014, I just mentioned on a post that I love those posts where people are like, I'm dying. Members give an outpouring of support and then chirp chirp!! I'm a recovering rescuer, so I just have to laugh and keep it moving....Lol I still won't make a New Year's resolution but I'm with you!

I like to cut it with some milk. I checked with the nutritionist and she said it was OK. And that I would not be losing

Gastric Bypass VS Sleeve
I chose bypass for several reasons: I wanted to resolve hypertension (high BP) - the percentage of this co-morbidity is higher with the bypass. I wanted that extra weight loss (10-15% more on average) but the compliant sleevers do catch up eventually, tho. I do not have GERD, just mild reflux. I didn't want anything to induce or worsen it. I wanted the procedure that most bariatric doctors feel comfortable/more versed in handling if I were to have complications. I want the dumping "to keep me honest" - I cannot eat sugar without feeling like I want to eat an entire house now and if a surgery has to be in place to help me with a negative feedback loop with then so be it. WLS surgery in general: I want to be healthy and an example of health and fitness for my 4 year old daughter. I want to be thin and fit and be able to run races without pain in my joints or feeling like I'm gonna die if I have to sprint for a bus.

Actual surgical procedure question
@@ready2B, Right, I've been looking a lot at it lately seems like a real surgical resource to surgeons allowing to do the micro stuff with a higher degree of accuracy overall on certain parts. Seems neat to me

Actual surgical procedure question
MamaTo3inNH, It is cool. Even if a site has them, every surgeon doesn't use them. Most everyone getting these laparoscopic surgeries will have the 5 incisions in a circle. So glad not to that big one!

'twas the night before surgery and all through the house...
Well we you put it like that.....it does feel big

Feeling a little down.!

Actual surgical procedure question
@@MamaTo3inNH http://www.davincisurgery.com/da-vinci-general-surgery/conditions/obesity/da-vinci-surgery.php Most large hospitals, centers of excellence and bigger surgery centers will utilize the davinci. That's why all our incision site looks exactly the same, etc etc Yes the surgeons does the surgery but may use the robotic technology for a portion of the procedure...

WLS Instagram!
So, what does "separate" mean? Is it not tied to your other social media accounts. Does it make you anonymous?

Are the laparoscopic procedures done with a Davinci robot?

Does WLS Help a Spouse Lose Weight?
The last time I got serious and dropped some weight about 10 years ago, my partner did the same program and lost as much as I did which was a lot of weight. Now, because it's just me having the surgery and old habits have returned I'm feeling alone. I wish it were OK to say, imma need to that eat sugar and junk outside on the porch like a smoker. Lol...I'm feeling alone this time around, ultimately it's up to me to control what I put in my mouth.
