Hi all!!! I went to Texas Roadhouse yesterday and got chicken strips and fries. Ate three strips and about six fries and took the rest home. I have not had a fill yet, so i can eat with no problem. Fries i will throw away . Left over strips i will add to broth and take to work for lunch. This is all a great adventure to me. Donna

Hi Did Dr. Allen charge you 1,100 for fills for a year? They said i have to have that up front. I went ahead and made an app. for Aug. 31st. Seems a little high though. Donna

Hi, Dr. Allen`s office in Lou. Ky. 502-583-8303. He charges 1,100 for all the fills you want the first year. After that it is 250 a fill. There are several doctors there. Donna

I went to a movie today and got a small popcorn. I am 23 days out. Chewed it a whole lot. Ate about half of it , no butter. No problems but it probably was not very smart. But we are human, we will not do this thing perfectly, at least i won`t. Donna

I use a powered whey protien drink i got from GNC health food store. I mix it with skim milk and it really helps to kill hunger. I am 23 days out from surgery and i am so grateful i have not had to much trouble with hunger. I get my first fill on the 31st of this month. Right now just having the band seems to be helping with hunger. I do drink a lot of water and crystal light and eat a lot of suger free pops. I have lost 18 pounds so far. Donna

Hi! I am from Clarksville Indiana and went to the seminar in Lou. Ky. Found out my insurance would not pay and went to Mexico for 8,000 total. That is air fare and all. It was great. Hospital and hotel were beautiful and clean. Had a great time. Dr Zapata was the best!!! Best of luck. Donna

Welcome to bandland!!! Gas pain may get worse before it gets better. Heating pad helps. Follow post-op diet closley so your healing goes well. Buy lots of sugar free pops, they are a lifesaver when you just have to have something. Thats all i can think of and i heard it all here on this site. You will find lots of support here. Donna

It does get better . Perhaps you should add some broth and sugar free pop sics. I am 19 days from surgery and have lost 17 pounds so far. I have not had to much of a problem with hunger. Best of luck. Donna
