  1. When I read this I sincerely hope that I can end my stalls like that. Or not stall at all. LOL

Things have changed since this morning. It seems that we will be moving to the UK as the USA visa issues are to complicated for myself and oldest daughter at this point. We are. Strangely blended family,to different for the US immigration to comprehend.lol.It would hav been a great experience living in the US but I dont want to worry about a border control person with pms refusing me entry after a holiday...we know what pms does to some of us..hehehe! At least we can start looking at the future and go to the UK to see where we will settle at the end of summer. And I can start planning my summer holiday very soon! I will keep doing what Im doing and stop fussing over a few pounds this way or that way.Until the next psyco event!

Hehe, its because I want a big tasty burger to feel some pleasure from food that I hate the sleeve today.I want to eat all my stress away. Before I often use to read about peoples problems (personal) that they found overwhelming post sleeve and thought they were making stuff up or were really some messed up people. Now since being sleeved I feel like my life has fallen apart and I am completely without coping skills at this point. I dont want to leave Dubai at this complicated point in out life (my special needs kid is at uni here) and I want to eat.I am not saying I am eating,I want to eat.Over eating means a few bites to many at this point, thats all.I feel like I need to eat a lot of food, ice cream, chips, and more food.THE ONLY OTHER THING THAT MAKES ME FEEL AS GOOD IS WHEN I LOSE WEIGHT. I am at 800 cals a day, exercise 30 minutes at least, drinking calsium,a little low on the water but not much.Getting the proteins doing all the right things and the scale is not moving. Ok,so maybe I have psyco PMS at the moment. xxo
  7. Today, for the first time I regret having this surgery. Not in all my life of professional dieting (lol) have I ever felt so out of control about losing weight. Nothing I do seems to break this stall,When my friend went on a crazy detox and liquids for 5 days to drop 5 pounds after a 2 week stall,I told her to relax, eat exercise and the weight will come off.Now (my surgery was 2 weeks after hers) I am in this crazy stall.the weight seems to come off and then bounces back on,over and over and over. I have huge stress in my life with the not knowing where we are moving, leaving my child behind....for sure I dont need this weight rubbish as well.If liquids is what is takes then liquids is what we'll do. I hate this sleeve.
  8. My surgeon said gum was fine.I have been chewing gum since 6 weeks out and I have no problems what so ever with it. I just dont swallow it. xxo
  9. I must add we have lived int the middle east for the past 10 years and a lot of expats seems to age badly. The weather is very harsh here. After my post I went and had a look at my face and thhe fat certainly hid a fair amount of the wrinckles before and the eyes really seems to have dropped..lol Im not worried. Some will be battle scars and some we will remove. The most important thing is losing this weight.your ticker is weird but I get the idea from it that you are lower BMI and that should also help if the skin hasnt been stretched to its end. xxo
  10. Unfortunately I am one that already looks a lot older. For some reason my eyebrows have collapsed and my eye lids are drooping very badly. Again, having said that, I am a true paleface with paper thin very inflexible skin.Have always been. Others are talking booblift and tummy tuck and I'm thinking the order in my case is facelift, booblift tummytuck arm lift and legs done....crazy how my skin isnt shrinking an inch. For you,if you are not very fair, havent been a yoyo dieter, havent smoked and exercise it might be completely different. Losing the weight is still worth all that. xxo

Tip for newly sleeved.Listen to the wize people that says start exercising immediately. Now that I have started I can see how much more wobbly I am than befoe.Previously when I had to exercise from day one I was muxh more toned by the time I had lost 40 pounds. My legs are especially soft and now hat I have started I dont know why I didnt do it before. Will start doing weights this week to see if I can catch up a little. For some reason I am sure the weight loss will start moving again as well. xxo Ps.for some of the comments The speed with which your food passes depends on what it is and how much fibre is in the food. That is why I am eating more fibre.Maybe salad doesnt have nutritional value but it for sure helps me not be as constipated and it gives me great pleasure.Mind you I now add other stuff like grilled veggies too as I like it and I have missed it so much.I cannot oly eat proteins. My serotonin levels goes vwry low for some stupid reason (always have) if I cut out all my carbs.so unrefined carbs like veggies seems to do the trick for me and I am a happy sleever.I will start tracking calories burned the moment I get my new BODYBUGG.MInd you will try the old one until it gets here. If I burn 500 additional cals per day while eating 800 I will lose weight,I know this for sure. xxo
  12. Hi,I didnt mean anything negative in my answer.I was actually confirming what you said,I fully agree with your dr but a lot of successful sleevers will differ from us.LOL xxo
  13. RMS,is that 42 since day of surgery? Our dr. Didnt put us on pre-op diet at all so my weight is since day of surgery. (trying to figure out if I am slow...lol)
  14. Allmyjoy,a lot of sleevers will tell you that in the beginning we will lose weight like that but after 6 months or so it will be increasingly difficult to drop weight this way. I watched the HBO programs on theweightofthenation today and I believe if one consistently burn more than you take in ( and not refined carbs which is unhealthy for anyone) you will lose weight. But the low carb, low calories works for a lot of sleevers. It just shows again we are all different arent we? xxo
  15. Sleeve of Steele, what did a day's food look like while you were still losing? It is very interesting to know that quite contrary to what so many says (eating only 800 a day) it is possible to eat more HEALTHY food and get to goal that fast. I also do better with more cals but only if coupled with exercise daily. xxo
  16. I think the point is this isnt as easy for some of us.My one friend lost 130 pounds without ever feeling hungry once. She just didnt really care for food anymore after the surgery.I prayed so hard that I would be like that and when I didnt I felt so lost and defeated. Making a few small adjustments have helped me tremendously. 10 years ago I for sure would have been able to stick to the low carb thing for a long time but this whole cycle of dieting (because low carbing is dieting) just wore me down over the years.I am 10 years and a hundred diets older and I do need some quality veggies for that feel good factor that I somehow lack lately when I dont eat them. That in itself is a miracle as I am not craving chips, chocolates and cakes but veggies....great! I still admire those for whom this is such an smoothe transition and that feels happy with mostly Proteins. On good thing though.By the time I reach goal I will already have my balance with food that I lacked for such a long time and I dont anticipate maintainance being a huge struggle. No relearning to eat then or low carbing as "a way of life". xxo
  17. O yes,and my dr isnt one that forbids any food as far as I can see.Small portions,no refined carbs,Protein first and veggies after. It is actually quite easy to do Your Proteins if you plan it correctly.6oz of chicken and fish or beef should give you 51g of protein and the rest is easy to make up with veggies, milk in tea or coffee. Since I've figured I dont only have to eat protein I am much happier and dont have to take a laxative all th time to boot.Good luck to exploring healthy veggies. xxo

Recently I have come to understand that I am more stubborn than most people on earth. 1 cup of food is tooo much.Repeat, a whole cup of food is too much.Even if it is 2 oz of protein and lettuce and salad veggies....it is still too much.I feel too full after I have finished it,even with a break in the middle. So,back to half a cup or 3-4 oz depending on what it is. I will learn. Today was a good food day.I have decided to stop the snacks and it wasnt difficult. Now I just have to get through this evening without snacking and I will be good to go.The exercise program is also taking shape now and I am/will exercise every day. Now for the next ten pounds. xxo
  19. Hi Sleeved 13/3 and I am down 44 pounds.Am in a loooooong stall.Hope it will break soon.By the way, before surgery I would read about stalls and secretly think its the people that "cheat" that stall.....that it would never happen to me because I will be good...hehehe. I had to humbly swallow my arrogance and I have to be patient through my very real stall. Bet you somewhere out there, there is a pre-opper thinking the exact same thing.lol Great going everyone.
  20. Hi So I some days feel the same...about the hunger. And then some days I decide to just eat 3 meals and I know it is not hunger in the stomach but in the head. This is a very hard thing for me to accept. Now,I have started eating a little less Proteins and I added some healthy carbs like a little sweetpotato, some lettuce and salad veggies, some mixed grilled veggies even a little bir of feta cheese to liven up the taste some times. Then, other days, the majority of days mind you,I will eat mostly proteins, just to keep the weight going down.I am between 800 and a 1000 cals a day and I started walking 30 minutes a day on the days I cant do other exercises. You need to cut yourself a little slack.Be hyper vigilant not to go over board or eat refined carbs....to often.Once a week have a treat if you like and then gwt back on plan. For the past 10 days I have had the constant fear that I have already failed at this like I've always done with weightloss....but in my heart I know I will lose it because I am not giving up.I can only eat a little and even if I eat anything I want (food...at meal times only 3 per day) my cals will still be low and I will still lose weight.I have been in contact with a lot of slow losers lately and they are the people that eat carbs...but only 3 meals per day no snacking and they did get and are getting to goal as well...maybe slower but hey I was fat for 20 years a few extra months will not kill me. Ok,this is about you not me. Relax,be nice to yourself and get a hold on what is going on in the head as far as food is concerned.Eat tasty small meals, healthy, dont snack and you will lose weighht and be ok. xxo
  21. I must say I feel the same. But Im 45 and have been up and down 100 pounds a few times. Nothing we can do about it.The slower we lose the better.(might not make the lindest bit of difference though) Exercise, exercise, exercise and maybe we'll be able to live with ourselves skin and all. Anyway,I will have to overcome my fear and go for plastics eventually.
  22. for some reason I still cannot reply on the comments. I usually feel "mentally uncomfortable" when I am full.Sounds crazy but full is in my head before it is in my stomach. But not when I am eating for comfort.I feel that maybe I eat faster then and the speed of my mouth outruns the speed of the head if that makes sense. However I almost got a second helping tonight but then the pain struck and I felt aweful. Wont be doing that any time soon again. xxo

So I needed to do a little emotional eating tonight and decided a half cup of wholegrain/flaxseed spaggetti with green pesto and a little feta cheese whould be it and boy am I paying for it.I have pain in the lower left side of my stomach and I am foaming big time. I just dont have a cue (hickup or sneeze) when I am full like some people do.I did hickup when it was o late though...lol This is not nice.I should know better.I try to never eat to much and have never felt like this since surgery. Now I am paranoid about stretching my stomach, stupid I know.Next time I will stick to my protein and veggies and have a sf ice lolly to self sooth when needed. Life's become so complicated since I had this surgery...so many changes like moving to either the US or UK in 2 months (not knowing drives me nuts) and then my sweet old aunty died today and now I will have to decide if I am going back to South Africa for the funeral and abandon my 11 year old while she had to compete in 2 international gymnastics competitions with an injury. The thing is I think wasnt neccessarily easier before...I just ate my way through all the problems and it did give me great comfort....now,nothing! Anyhow,at some point I will have to find not addictive coping mechanisms. And I know I will. This sleeve is so far the best thing thats happened to me...I would have gained another 30 pounds in the last 2,5 months if I didnt have it. xxo
  24. Hot actually worked gr8 for me...I actually drank stuff really hot, anything else use to hurt. xxo
