I made it through!
I desperately miss my morphine pump. My husband laughed at how I clutched my pump button even in my sleep. Congratulations on making it through and keep us updated!

Grapes
Depends on if they make you dump. Little sugar bombs. Fruit sugars don't seem to bother me. I haven't eaten a grape though

Drinking makes me nauseous
I get nauseous in the morning when I try to drink water. I've found I don't have that issue from half water half apple juice. So that's what I drunk. Maybe trying around with other stuff?

- What ya eating tonight?
happy birthday!- What a support group is and isn't (IMHO)
I'm fat. I've made bad choices in diet and exercise. I also have hashimotos and PCOS that make it easy to gain and hard to lose and gives me a metabolism that's almost dead. Normal people with no health problems make bad eating and workout choices. We're going to screw up. It's just the way it is. Most of us are and or were addicted to food. Food is good, doesn't judge you and is one of the only ways to enjoy instant gratification. A support group supports you and in a non JudgeMENTAL way, gives constructive criticism. This surgery is one of the hardest things most people will do and having someone judge them with a crappy superior attitude is counterproductive to what should happen. Everyone is here due to obesity. Not one person is better than another. 2 days ago it was pretty cool, then everyone got a side of drama. I just want to have somewhere to go and say, is this normal? Is this dumping? Anyone else have this happen? But hey, now I know we can block people and its a wonderful thing. So before we all leave here for a better place, lets start using that option.- Sharing my journey! Surgery TOMORROW!
Good luck tomorrow. We have an april pre and post surgery thread. 2 different ones. Anyway, I was april 1st. Your youth will help, but no matter how you lose all the weight, either you're elastic or not. I'd prefer the skin over the fat but I also hope for the lottery.- RNY Post-Op Infection
I'm sorry. I hate seeing a post go unanswered. I didn't get an infection...but I did pull something inside. Horrible pain.- April 2013 Post-Op Group
Good gravy, I hope so. It sucks. I pulled something terrible. Wasn't aware it was there...but now we've been introduced.- April 2013 Post-Op Group
I tried some. Unfortunately, I'm long waisted. They hit me in a sore area and seem to hurt too much! I was hoping they would do it and my Spanx don't seem supportive enough- What ya eating tonight?
Okay, so my krogers has GROUND buffalo. Did you ask the meat department?- What ya eating tonight?
You can block?! How?- April 2013 Post-Op Group
Since I have that super sore spot by my belly button, my nurse is sure I pulled something, I'm ordering one in hopes I can stand working next week. Doesn't matter if I can stand it or not. I've got bills so I'll be at work bright and early on the 22nd!- April 2013 Post-Op Group

- im dont hungry :( help
You aren't supposed to have any hunger. It's one of the benefits of the early stage of the operation. Eat to live not live to eat. You may experience hunger after 6 mo to a year. And you might not.- April 2013 Post-Op Group
Bottled sadness and burnt rubber, no lie. I almost threw up when I tried that stuff. I had such hope for it too. Ugh.- Happiness post-op
You're as positive as you make yourself. I, myself, work in an office with 13 other women. Only one has to watch her weight. All use any excuse to have a pot luck plus weekly staff meetings where they order lunch. Here's how it goes: It's Wednesday, at 10 they start deciding on where to order from, by 11 they have what they want and call it in, at 11:30 someone leaves to pick it up, then mass consumption at 12 to 12:30. Every birthday, every holiday...it's a potluck. I'm going to bring my lunch, I'm going to snack on my Snacks and I'm not going to dwell on the fact that, hey--not everyone is created equal. I work next to a girl that weighs a buck and a quarter and she eats ALL DAY LONG. First off, she eats two waffles with Peanut Butter between them like a sandwich. Then she moves to the poptarts. It's messed up. I'm just going to ignore what I can and have fun losing.- What ya eating tonight?
Goodness, that sounds divine! I'll totally be eating that tomorrow! I cannot wait to have some real meat with stuff on it. I know, it will be a while but right now...I'm craving cabbage rolls!- What ya eating tonight?
I had 1 oz of cottage cheese, 3 slivers of cheddar....and then *I can't believe I'm admitting this* I then licked the salt off six crackers. I didn't eat the crackers...but that salt was divine. I don't have high blood pressure and salty and savory has always been my thing.- What ya eating tonight?
If it works for you, I'll try to cook it again! I've had wonderful duck......just never cooked by me! And I'm a pretty darn good cook....- What ya eating tonight?
I have not had duck, but I imagine it would be handled well. It should fit in the poultry category, right? My issue would be getting the darn thing tender. I never have been able to cook a duck.- 5 WEEKS POST OP, HOW MANY CALORIES TO EAT EACH DAY
most say 800. I take at least 30 minutes to eat...but I have a small amount, 1 oz. Once I eat more, my doc says 1 hour for meals. What is your definition of dumping and if it's just it's too fast, just slow down. - What ya eating tonight?
