My day is finally here. I am strangely calm. Today is like any other. I am completely in the hands of God.

You can do this. I am on day 13 of only liquids and after two days it was not to bad.

I am 6 days post op and I decided since tomorrow is a week why not try an oz. of yogurt. I was so scared but I was tired of liquids. I finally had some solid food and it sat well with me!! Thank GOD!

Well tomorrow is the big day! I was panicked yesterday but feeling more calm today. Now that i am on Clear Liquids, i miss the Optifast shakes lol. Bowel prep starts at 4- not looking forward to that. Good luck to everyone having surgery this week. I'm looking forward to sitting on the loser's bench with all of you.

wow, 15lbs in ten days that is great.

18 pounds in the first 8 days. I find out the total on Tuesday before the surgery.

Mitzie keep me updated! By this time next week we are going to be at home posting about being on the loser's bench.

Hey everyone! I'm new to posting but wanted to say thanks for sharing!! I have surgery tomorrow at 730a! The closer it gets the more nervous I become but most of all I'm just really excited!!! I live ready about everyone's experiences! Can't wait to start my new life!!!

He's on liquids!!! We at least gotta let him eat to purée before we invite ourselves over!!!!

Had family reunion today. My aunt, who I havent seen since Christmas, walked right passed me. When I asked if she was avoiding me, she turned and said "oh my god! I didnt even recognize you!" My 94 year old grandpa said I get smaller every time he sees me. And the best one...my husband gave me a big long hug tonight, and said that he loves it that he can get so much closer to me now. Win, win, and win!

Holy cow!! I almost forgot I got hit on at the park today, by a guy probably 10 years younger than me!!! Forty is apparently fabulous!

While using my SECU credit card with my pic from last summer, I was forced to use it as a debit because the pic on the front looks NOTHING like me!!

So today is 6 days post op and I have done really well with head hunger. Well today my husband made lunch for our son and himself. He made one of my favorites, pepperoni and motz sandwiched on a soft deli bun. UGH! they looked soo good. my mouth was watering. I was really hoping I would be someone who didn't get head hunger. :/ oh well. On the plus side I am down to 300 lbs! That is 28 lbs in 6 days! I am shocked I didn't expect it to come off so fast.

i stayed away from bbq sauces because of the brown sugar in most.... but lately I have tried and been ok with baked Beans. I have tried some pulled pork and as long as I chew it really well I do fine, just really light on any sauce I put on it.
Hope you are able to enjoy some of your favorites.... it makes for a really tough road when you feel you are denying yourself so much!
Just take it easy and let your pouch tell you if its a go or not! You'll know right away what it likes or doesnt.

Wow, it is officially real. Just got a call from the hospital . I report on Tuesday at 10:30... surgery is at 1:30.

I'm a Texas girl so yes I have tried BBQ since the surgery. I can eat it, but in very small amounts. It makes my pouch feel full after a few bites. But bbq baked Beans are now one of my favorite things to eat and Go down well.

I can sleep thru the night like a rock without my CPAP!!!

Figured out why I'm so uncomfortable. ITS GAS!!!!!!! Can't believe all I've been reading about everybody else's experiences with gas and I totally overlooked it and was laying around starting to be miserable because I just didnt know why I felt so uncomfortable. My husband asked me to described what I was feeling and I said I feel like I want to belch but it wont come up. Then he gave me a Gas X strip and I've been belching ever since. My stomach feels lighter!!! I no longer have that "uncomfortable feeling". Its even easier to drink Water. Maybe thats why I couldnt really eat my mashed potatoes and gravy last night.
Its just GAS!!!!!
