  3. On my way to my week post op appointment. Super excited to get my official weight and measurements
  4. I have found that when I feel hugry I will drink my shakes or broth what ever it is at the time, I drink slowly. a drink every few minutes. Once I no longer feel hungry I stop. That seems to be working for me. I sip my water all day. I very rarely set it down so I don't forget to keep drinking.
  5. I am also going Thursday to my Doctors office. And I feel like I am doing a dance just waiting, like you do when you have to pee. lol I am just so happy that I am not the only one who is struggling with this, so I know that I dont just have a weak sence of will.
  6. Oh I would never try to eat something this early. No way do I want to feel sick. I am just no longer going to watch cable. There are so many food ads its insane! I ate a popsicle. Thank you Kiwiladydee, it helped sooo much.
  7. So I'm a week out today. And I can't ignore the feeling of wanting to put food in my mouth and chew I feel like I'm hungry, but I know I'm not. And tips on how to over come this evil?

  13. So today is 6 days post op and I have done really well with head hunger. Well today my husband made lunch for our son and himself. He made one of my favorites, pepperoni and motz sandwiched on a soft deli bun. UGH! they looked soo good. my mouth was watering. I was really hoping I would be someone who didn't get head hunger. :/ oh well. On the plus side I am down to 300 lbs! That is 28 lbs in 6 days! I am shocked I didn't expect it to come off so fast.

  17. When I had my son, I had a c-section. And during the operation my arms fell towards my head and no one fixed them, so the medicine gathered a good amount in my arms and they were numb for about two days. Also, It could be the way you are sleeping. I had to ask for a chair and it was heavenly.
  18. Thank you, it's strange that all I have been doing is resting and the weight is just going down. I will definitely be watching the clock more often. When I was in the hospital I had a morphine drip and got to push a little button every fifteen minutes or so. Morphine doesn't help me much comfort wise, but it helped me sleep and that's all that mattered till I could take the pills. And I am oh so happy that they are smaller than a tick-tac. They also gave me nausea patched instead of pills cause I was having a hard time with just ice chips staying down. I was given some liquid Tylenol for my back cause it was starting to hurt, it made me throw up, so while the thought of liquid meds sounds heaven sent. Make sure you can stomach the taste. It was a cross of cherry cold medicine and goody powders. I have only been walking around my apartment because one of the incisions is on my bra line, so I can't wear a bra, and I won't go anywhere with out one on. So hopefully they heal fast. Lol I haven't had any head hunger thank goodness, my family had subs last night and while it smelt good, I had no desire to eat it. I was full off of my beef broth. Which my mother found quite entertaining. Lol

  20. Well I haven't posted here yet, I was posting in the pre-op forum. But never got a response. I had my surgery Monday after noon. Came home on Wednesday evening. Everything has been going ok. I was laying on my sofa tonight and was watching a movie, forgot to take my dose of pills. Holy freaking carp. I sat on the edge of the sofa and it hit me, sharp excruciating pains. Got that fixed asap. On the up side I am now at 317, that makes 11 pounds since the surgery how is everyone else doing?

  24. I am home now. And very happy to be back in my own bed. I have been doing really well in getting my liquids in. I got a giant water cup from the hospital and it holds 28 oz. so I have to drink two of them, plus my protien shakes. My two year old has jumped on me once and that was an awful feeling. Before surgery I weighed in at 335, and the day of surgery I was 328. And I weighed myself tonight two days post op and I am 320. I still havent passed any gas or have a bowel movment, but I think it should happen soon. The main incision hurts the most, but it is more of a stiff pain rather that sharp.
  25. I am going home today. I wasn't able to drink fluids with out nausea so they kept me a second day, put me on a patch to prevent that. I was so happy they had recliners because while the beds were comfy, they hurt my back like a bitch. Still on pain meds so I'm a bit groggy. Ps, if they ask you if you want some liquid Tylenol, don't do it. Made me throw up. Other than that feeling much better
  26. I am at the hospital about to go in for surgery!!! So excited
