  1. okay my surgeon finally has all my records and they are reviewing it to submit to insurance! They will call me when they hear back. woot woot! on a fun note, I got the sample pack i ordered from MyBariatricPantry.com! I've tried the Strawberry Kiwi Syntrax Nectar and it's not bad. at least I know it's palatable--seems like everyone's taste buds change so much post-op. It could be a welcome change from those creamy vanilla protein shakes after a while, especially as the weather turns warmer. it takes a lot like a crystal lite drink. I got the ten bag sample pack, which included for me: cappuccino, lemon tea, pink grapefruit, twisted cherry, roadside lemonade, apple ecstasy, vanilla bean torte, crystal sky(fruit punch I think), and strawberry mousse. I asked for no chocolate since I'm allergic. I also got two big jars of Matrix Strawberry Cream and Orange Cream. last I got a Click vanilla latte protein drink pack 'cause Eggface likes it so much. new things are so fun to try!--At least pre-op they are. sounds like it may be a scary proposition after RNY what with dumping and whatnot. I hope everyone is having a good week. Hang in there!
  2. Hi Debbie! I'm right about where you are in the process. The waiting makes me crazy! Good to have you here, maybe we'll have surgery around the same time.
  3. Great to hear you are doing better! I am glad they took care of you in the ER. Hopefully this will never happen again, maybe even some disciplinary action taken against the doc. Keep us updated!
  4. PoppyAnn you look great and you should be sooooo proud of yourself! I wish you the best with your next surgery =)
  5. It's definitely hard to be alone when you're sick. But you don't need that loser to make things worse! You are strong and you can get through this all by yourself ( but don't forget we're here for you Gen) (((hugs)))
  6. So I had my three month follow-up yesterday with my PCP. I lost a total of 15 lbs in three months with diet and (a little) exercise. I just called the office to ask them to fax my records over to My surgeon's office and she said she would be doing it within the hour. MY surgeon's office said our next step is submitting to insurance! Wheee!!! Wish me luck!
  7. how are you doing today? Is your pain being managed? Keep us updated if you can ((hugs))
  8. hi! Im still pre-op as well---the waiting is horrible isn't it? good luck with your meetings
  9. I usually take Benedryl to dry up my sinuses, but I would definitely check with your surgeon before taking any meds. Wouldn't want some weird pouchy side effects.
  10. OOOOOO!!! Girl I cannot wait until I can go back on roller coasters!! You are looking hot!
  11. I can definitely see the changes!
  12. look at that hourglass shape coming back!
  13. Wow you look great!! I love that top
  14. sounds very strange that you had open RNY and were sent home after one day. I would definitely call the surgeon to tell him you're in extreme pain. make sure you keep a record of all phone calls you make so you can have documentation of what happened.
  15. Hi Sol! Nice to have you here! I'm still in my 3 month supervised diet, but I hope to join you soon with a date of my own. Welcome!!
  16. I know how you feel--I'm on month 3 of my diet and it's like a roller coaster. We will get through it the best we can. Hang in there!
  17. Wow, that's a lot more involved than my PCP got. I would say a realistic goal is 1-2 lbs a week.
