  1. Krissy, how tall are you? You and I had the surgery both in April, but you weigh 20 lbs less than me...what's your secret?
  2. My limit is one, maybe two tablespoons rice max, and it needs to be moist- and I am 6 months out...
  3. Rice doesn't work for me well, even now. Some can eat raw fish, some get sick with the shortened intestines. I can do a few pieces of sashimi with only one piece of a roll that has rice.
  4. I wouldn't, but if you cut out your carbs now, the shock to your body would be less. Go with meat and veggies for the next two weeks, then your liquid diet.
  5. Depends on you. For me, the pain was pretty much all gone at a month, but I still got tired. I was off pain killers about a week after surgery.
  6. You might be dealing with a stricture...can you keep water down?
  7. 7- right now, depending on when was your surgery, you still probably have major food restrictions. I am at 6 months post surgery, and had horrible problems with strictures. Two additional procedures and ALOT o vomiting, zero support at home, but now I can eat most foods, just restricted amounts. The weight is slowly dropping off, the compliments are nice, and I feel better than I have in years. Blood tests are normal, and everything seems to be running well. So, one step at a time. We WILL get there!!
  8. (hug) it gets better...
  9. I often have a cup of soup at the beginning of a meal...
  10. That does sound pretty tasty!
  11. Marta, keep us informed....my prayers are with you. You are not alone...
  12. I was told one ounce every 10 min.
  13. Try click decaf mocha/expresso protein drink. Can make it hot. It's yummy!
  14. Ex's? Probably not. Everyone else? Most will.
  15. I did it alone at first...pray about it...God is with you...
  16. Are you feeling better now?
  17. Nuts,-crackers, powdered milk, peanut butter, hi protein granola bars, watch the sugar...

Hominy is corn-you would need to ask your doc.
  19. Wow!!! Mami... You look fantastic!!
  20. How far out are you? In the beginning it took me 45 min to eat an egg.

How big is a large can?
  22. Consistent exercise for periods greater than 30 min are necessary. Builds muscle and burns fat.
  23. Finer- some people do, some don't. It's trial and error. I do not dump on natural fruit sugars. But then I don't gorge on it either. I eat grapes, cherries, watermelon, banana, etc.
