  1. I am in the emergency room getting IV fluids. I was told I am dehydrated. I seriously have tried my best to get liquids and Protein in but I just feel so full that I can't take anything else by mouth. I hope after the fluids I will feel better. Any ideas on how I can get more fluids in so I can prevent dehydration in the future? surgery date: 7/30/12
  2. Be happy for this change and stay positive. I heard horror stories about the surgery and all went well with mine. My only regret is not having surgery sooner. Good luck. Thoughts, prayers, and good vibes headed your way. surgery date: 7/30/12
  3. Congratulations Beth! I am also looking forward to weighing less than 200 pounds. I started at 272 and as of last Friday, I am 251:-) surgery date: 7/30/12
  4. Santa Barbara, California. Surgery with Dr. Billy in Ventura, California. surgery date: 7/30/12
  5. I am 2 weeks 1 day post op and to this date I have not felt hunger pain at all. I was craving food the first week but once this second week not at all. I am disliking certain foods that I use to love just by not being hungry. I have to remind myself to eat at least 3 to 5 times a day or else I can go the entire morning or afternoon without eating where as before I was constantly hungry and eating. I am so loving this new like and change:-) surgery date: 7/30/12
  6. I hope I did this right. I have attached a snapshot of what I could eat at stage 3 besides the full liquids. Hope this helps. My doc said that I could start at day 10 post surgery. surgery date: 7/30/12
  7. I had mine placed when I was already under anesthesia and removed right after I came out of surgery. I was only asked to take a deep breath and is it out. Didn't feel a thing. Just to let you know, the catheter is not placed in the vagina. It is in your pee hole which is totally separate from the vaginal opening. Relax and everything will turn out well. When is your surgery?
  8. I was told no swimming for at least 3 weeks. This will allow incisions to close thoroughly.
  9. Great idea with the tortilla. Maybe adding a little turkey sausage or turkey bacon? Just an idea:-)
  10. I would love to obtain a copy of the list. My email is silvia93101@yahoo.com
  11. Same here. I have been overweight most of my life. I just had my surgery on July 30, 2012. I am so happy that pretty soon people will not be asking me if I'm pregnant. Just ignore those people and move along. Think about what we will look like in a year from our surgery. We will no longer be asked if we are pregnant. Hurray!
  12. I will start the puréed stage tomorrow. I have cheated with a piece or carrot and potato which were from my homemade chicken Soup. It has actually settled quite nice, no nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea...yippee!
