  1. Miralax....Miralax....Miralax...its a wonderful thing.
  2. I would also like to try the 5 day pouch test. I am discouraged as I don't feel like I can go much tighter with the band so it looks like dieting is the way to go. I am glad I did this but want to lose 40 more pounds. 95 pounds is great. I wish I could say that. Thanks to both of you for replying back.
  3. Hi, I am a nurse. I was banded in April of 08. I am not loosing the weight like I want. I lost most of my weight the first month and then little by little. I am definately not loosing the amount I should be. I have 5.0 in a 10 cc band. I had an unfill 2 weeks ago. Now I can eat too much. I was definately too tight before that as I couldn't keep down my pills and could eat a couple bites and then I was stuck. I feel better but now not tight enough. I am frustrated and hungry most of the time. I just ordered some DVD's to get the exercise going again. I would like a buddy to help me along. If someone is out there with some advice or has the time to help that would be great. Thanks mama59:wub:

  5. :eek:Everyone is different but I took 1 week off of work but ended up going back in 2 weeks instead. Dealing with the liquid diet and the gas pain was difficult, I can't imagine doing it away from home.
  6. I was banded the 22nd also. I couldn't poop for 2 days and I was bloated and felt full. I was used to going everyday and wanted to continue that. I wanted to take benefiber but wasn't sure if I should. I called the surgeon and he had me take an enema. I did and felt way better. It got me going and I take benefiber daily in my crystal lite. You can't possibly be putting things in your system without something coming out. (sorry to be blunt or crude). Call you surgeon. He needs to know. mama59
  7. You are correct. A ml is the same as a cc. lol mama59
  8. I am ten days out and still find myself with discomfort. my port site is very tender and tonight I have pain on my right side up into my back. I think it depends on the person and how much you are doing. My surgeon said the port site will be tender for quite awhile. mama59
  9. I had to do the 6 month physician supervised diet. In that time frame I didn't loose 1 pound but gained 4. I was told that the amount doesn't matter it is the compliance factor that counts. The fact that you were trying, that you saw the doctor every month and tried to do what they suggested. I was approved at the end of the six months. mama59
  10. As a nurse, my thought is that something is wrong and yes you need to let the surgeon know all that is going on. Let them be the ones that decide. You don't want to become dehydrated. mama59
  11. Diid you prepare the chicken? If so what is the recipe? I had my week follow up also and he told me lumpy foods for now (I took that as mushie). I am having a hard time coming up with stuff to eat. Thanks mama59
  12. I ate alot of the high protein jello. I put either the vanilla unjury with any flavor jello (sugar free) and then some sugar free cool whip. I also used the strawberry sorbet unjury with any of the red jellos. They have chocolate that I mixed with soy milk and a couple of ice cubes in the blender. I don't blen very hard or it gets too much air in it. I couldn't handle the chicken soup unjury but personal preference. mama59
  13. Hey all, I had my f/u appointment today. One week down and doing well. I had 14 pounds gone...yeah me. The surgeon told me to start lumpy foods. He said to stay away from bread and meat but to advance slowly. I am happy. I had some cottage cheese for lunch but I am scared and at a loss for what to have for supper. If you have any ideas for me that would be awesome. thanks mama59:thumbup:
  14. wow.....I never thought so many would be feeling the same as me. Thanks to all that have replied. Today I have a HA and a very sore throat and a cough. I haven't even been anywhere to catch anything. GREAT just what I need.......mama59
  15. I am 6 days postop and feel pretty good but I get soooooo......hungry about 1 hour after eating something. I feel like I am starving. I think 6 weeks of this will drive me crazy. Does it get better with time? It makes me feel pain to nausea. Does anyone else feel this way? mama59:thumbs_down:
