  9. I need a pep talk. I am exhausted. I haven't slept much since op. I can alternate oxycodone & 100 mcg fentanyl. It helps but just gets me to the point where I can stop crying. I'm ridiculously nauseated. Hacking up this glue thick phlegm. I've been walking my butt off.. I can feel the gas bubbling in there but its not passing. Hiccups are excruciating. Getting up is easy but back down is soo painful. How long will this last? I'm borderline hysterical. Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using RNYTalk

  13. I'm day 1 post op & already down 12 lbs. The didn't put a foley.in at all thank God. Having quite a bit of trouble managing pain. I have the hiccups which are agonizing. I am on clear fluids. I was full after 1/2 a Jello cup. It wasn't even a normal size one. I've been up walking, 6 laps so far. I should get to go home tomorrow. Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using RNYTalk
  14. I totally agree! Can't wait to feel sexy again! Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using RNYTalk
  15. I had a LOT going on then. I was living in a bad place due to finances and then because of food poisoning my twins had to be delivered via emergency c section 2 months early. The were sent to children's hospital over an hour away & all I got to see of them before they were taken was a belly & a foot. I didn't get to see them for 3 days. Then @ 3 weeks old the twins developed NEC, which is their intestines were dieing from infection. My son almost died and I couldn't hold him because it might have caused his intestines to rupture. They were in NICU for 2 months. It is by far the hardest thing I've gone through. The bypass should be easy compared to that. Anyway, the Zoloft just couldn't quite keep up with my stress level and then I got slammed with the worst case of post partum depression I've had (i have 5 kids). All this was at same time. I think anyone would crack under that. Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using RNYTalk
  16. Lol, I.couldn't fall asleep till 5 am because my mind was racing so fast. When I finally did I dreamt about catching baby turtles for my mother in law to let loose in her kitche. She also lived in wal mart and ran a gymnastics studio, in walmart. Wow! I mean, really!? Lol, the mind reels ( my mil has zero gymnastics qualities and hates walmart and turtles). For some reason every night there have been turtles in my dream. Always Water turtles. I love them & I have 2 pet water turtles but that doesn't mean I want to dream about catching a billion of them. 17. I.was on Zoloft for 9 1/2 years but about a year ago it just stopped working for me. I know losing weight will.make the anxiety and depression a little easier to manage Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using RNYTalk
  18. Since starting my 10 day pre-op diet I have been having some bizarre dreams. Just weird, random stuff. Makes no sense. At first they were nightmares but now have settled into the routine of bizarrely weird. Falling asleep takes forever also because my mind is racing 90 to nothing. But only when I'm trying to go to sleep. I swear I'm like an ADHD squirrel. Can anyone relate? Or atleast shed some light. Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using RNYTalk
  19. I take effexor. Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using RNYTalk
  20. I've been so focused on all the things I'm giving up and (no surprise) found myself a bit depressed. I made myself make.a list of all the things I will gain. Here are my top 10, what are yours? 1. Going to an amusement park and.actually being able to ride a ride. 2. Playing with my kids. 3. Being able to go on float trips without flipping the canoe everytime I move. 4. Joining a softball team again and other athletic activities. 5. Getting rid of all those meds with ugly side effects. 6. Not having to shop at *special* stores and.pay extra for my size clothes. 7. Not being afraid to have my picture made. 8. Sitting in a normal sizes chair without getting my butt stuck (or risk not fitting at all) 9. Feeling sexier and more confident. 10. Last but DEFINITELY not least....not being in pain 24/7 Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using RNYTalk
  21. I would call and bypass the front desk people. Talk to your nurse, or even try to get in touch with your surgeon. If all else fails you might want to contact a patient advocate lawyer and see what they say. The squeakiest wheel gets the oil. Make yourself a pain in their butts. Literally call every day until you get an answer. Once they start to get annoyed they will start asking questions and make.it happen. Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using RNYTalk
