  1. You can moisturize, exercise, and hydrate all day long but if your skin has already stretched past its point of no return then it will sag. True you should exercise hydrate and moisturize but they aren't a cure for sagging. It's almost inevitable. I've got sagging in arms belly inner thighs and butt. But being a healthy weight and actually being healthy are very worth it!!!
  2. So you lost 20 lbs in 3 weeks? Thats great! It sounds like you just haven't lost anything for several days. Be patient and follow your rules. Your body will not lose weight evenly. Some weeks you may lose 5 lbs, some weeks none. But you will keep losing. Just remember that this early it's impossible not to lose weight! I am 6 1/2 months out and have lost 118 lbs with several stalls. One was even a month long! Hang in there.
  3. And thanks everyone! Sent from my iPad using RNYTalk
  4. Thanks. This was the best decision I ever made!!
  5. I was 286 in surgery date. I doubt you are doing anything wrong, some just lose slower which is great for your skin btw! Mine is getting loose
  6. I just really followed the directions to a T. I don't drink any calories unless it is fat free or low fat milk and stay away from carbs and snacking. Portion control is important to me so my pouchie won't stretch!
  7. My friend is 2 years out and just did it. She says it worked great. I went two days on liquids bc of stomach flu and it shrunk my pouch too.
  8. Are you getting veggies in? I find these do help, especially salads. Also good hydration and stool softeners (I take one every 2-3 days bc daily is too much) work for me.
  9. 6 months post op today!! Down 113 pounds!
  10. Sure if she can tolerate it. I am 6 months post op and still can tolerate most yogurts.
  11. Pork tenderloin is a staple now. I just throw it in the crockpot on low all day with low carb BBQ sauce or Greek dressing and it is so tender and moist. Good for the pouch! Tilapia is also easy on the pouch. We also love eggs with broccoli, ham, and cheese. Also drinking milk really helps to sneak in some Protein. Add a no sugar added carnation instant breakfast for extra protein There are a tons of good bariatric recipe pins on Pinterest!
  12. The unjury is pretty good. Reminds me of ramen noodles broth.
  13. My surgeon says no more and not to worry about the protein amounts until about a year after. My nutritionist completely disagrees and says to drink shakes daily. I find that drinking 2-3 glasses of milk a day really helps to get your protein in.
  14. Exactly one year ago I went to my first seminar and it seemed like such a long and almost impossible process. Hang in there and don't stress over it too much. The time will fly! Tomorrow is my six month surgiversary and have lost 113 pounds it's not always easy but totally worth it! Good luck you guys!!
  15. Same here. If you quote instead of reply it should work fine. I just delete the quote if I feel like it.
  16. Thanks everyone I appreciate it Sent from my iPad using RNYTalk
  17. I am almost 5 months post op and have lost 100 pounds! I am so excited to think about it. But really I don't think it's set in. What is really flooring me is that I am done with lane Bryant!! Walking into old navy, areo, etc is much better And only 6 more pounds and I will be 'just overweight'. No longer obese!! I can't wait.
  18. Started at 28/4x am now almost 5 months out and in 14 pants and large or xl tops. Dream size 2 but realistically 6. I will just be happy to be single digits!!
  19. I think you look great but if you don't feel that way is what matters. If you have the means to do so, think of it as a reward you DESERVE for accomplishing the weight loss and an investment in your self confidence. I'm still 50 pounds to goal weight but plan on fixing my belly boobs and arms each year with tax returns.
  20. Me too... Crazy PMS... I just started a new job and the girls in my new department must think I'm nuts. I'm snappy and sensitive. Not the best first impression. Am going to talk to my PCP about birth control or something to try and even out the hormones. Good luck to us all and let me know if you find out about any ways to help this.
