I won't miss my thighs rubbing together...especially in the summer. :-) And I won't miss being the hottest person in the room (and not the good kind of hot). Won't miss the moo-moos that fashion designers think all big people must wear. Won't miss trying to tuck my tummy into my pants to look smaller (even though I may be tucking in loose skin). LMBO That's it for now...even though I have millions. :-)

I've got a couple. I want to be able to wear some heels with my suits when I go to court. I hope having less weight makes the job easier on my poor feet. :-) I also want to not be the fat girl. I'm in the same boat as you wannabewifey. All my life, I was the fat kid, the fat friend, the fat lawyer...I just want to be small. Not skinny, just small. And I totally plan to have a semi-nude photo shoot, with makeup galore and super big hair whenever I hit my goal weight...the amount of nudity TBD. LOL

After a bit of a hassle with the surgeon's office (communication issues), I finally got scheduled for my surgery this morning. I am so happy, I am beyond happy. It's pretty much a full year for me since I've begun this process, so it's about time! :-) Can't wait to be a loser!!!

I don't know if I'm the only one who's dealt with this, but some of my friends and family seem to be judging me for making this decision. "Are you sure you really need to do this?" "Have you really looked into this?" "Don't people gain the weight back?" "Why don't you just exercise and do Weight Watchers?"
I feel like I'm always defending myself. People think this is the easy way out. They don't realize how different my life is going to be from be moment after surgery until the day I die. They don't get that the extra 130ish pounds has caused health problems that prevent me from hitting it in the gym. Everything always hurts. I get winded so easily. And all the embarrassment I go thru at places like amusement parks where I damn near need a shoehorn to fit into the seat of a ride. I'm so frustrated by people who are supposed to support me being so hurtful.

Hi everyone! I just got my date today - June 13th! I thought I would be more excited when I finally got a date, but in actuality I'm scared. I just feel like crying right now. I know it's just my nerves, but it's a bit unexpected. Anyway, I'll be beginning my Atkins diet on May 30th. How do I get a ticker on my posts?

You all look wonderful! I just submitted everything to my insurance, so hopefully I'll join all you LOSERS soon! :-)

...just waiting for insurance approval now. My surgeon is very confident that I'll get my approval. I hope he's right. He also said based on my evals and med history that the surgery should be pretty much smooth sailing. Thank God for his confidence. :-). Say a prayer that my insurance approves QUICKLY!!!
