  2. I'm 5'6 preop weight 338 that's a bmi of 52.5 surgery date 6/11 weight 321.5 what's funny is I left the hospital 336. I don't know how much I weigh today I don't own a scale (nor will I) I go to my 1month follow up Thursday so ill let you know. I am a slow loser, but nonetheless a loser.
  3. I've been a 38b since high school 4 kids and 110 pounds later still a 38b. Now the size of my arse has tripled
  4. Insomnia sucks. I take zzzquil made by nyquil people and its liquid
  5. I dread each meal afraid to try something new. Wish I didn't have to eat
  6. Had such a good day outside with my kids today felt great. That is until I came in and drank a protein shake. Now I feel like crap..nauseous and crampy like diarrhea is on the horizon. I barely eat. I don't want to. No matter what it is it makes me feel yucky. I've been thru 6 different protein shakes. I'm 4 weeks out tomorrow and I feel like food is the devil! I'm starting to really regret this surgery.
  7. I had horrible pain too for at least two weeks hang in there it gets better I would just sit there in tears praying for God to help me as I hit the lortab bottle like it was Jack Daniels. As far as stamina your body is using a lot of energy to heal on very little calories I'm nearly 4 weeks out and I still get exhausted. Bet you can't wait for the insomnia to start! Cuz I can't sleep for shit!
  8. The only problem I can see arising from that is increased appetite. Which will put you at risk of overeating and choosing the wrong foods
  9. No one ever knew I was a smoker guess I was lucky passed the pulmonary function test chest xray and saw the pulmonologist. I smoke a half a pack a day for 15 years. No pneumonia no problems so far I do intend on quitting just having a hard time.
  10. I smoke to I tried to quit several times but couldn't. No nicotine tests. Please no one get on you soap box about me smoking post op I'm a 34yr old intelligent woman I know the dangers just like everyone here knows the dangers of eating too much.
  11. I posted it on Facebook because I'm proud of my decision. Plus I have some fat friends I'm trying to inspire lol
  12. I'm 3weeks and 2 days out and I still have pain at the left side
  13. My Dr says they prevent infection. The site they use the drain on is where they do most of the work. Its the largest incision. Its also very deep because most of us have a lot of fat there. Packing it helps it heal from the inside out. So no tunneling or abscesses form.
  14. They told me a couple of weeks to a month I don't believe that. Looks like a vagina on my belly LOL
  15. I've been packing mine for 3 weeks and I swear its just as deep as it started. It is sore as hell and very itchy
  16. My surgeon didn't have a set amount of weight I had to lose but there is a mandatory 1 week liquid protein diet. No food 3-6 protein shakes a day. It supposed to shrink a fatty liver. I did mine for 3 weeks. The first two weeks I had 2 shakes and a lean protien with veggies for dinner the last week I did 3 shakes a day. I lost 30 pounds. I did have sugar free Popsicles and jello even though I wasn't supposed to have the jello but I needed to eat something
  17. It took me a couple of days to fart LOL. Burping was no problem. The gas they blow u up with is in your abdomen not ur digestive tract so it dissapates as u move around it doesn't come out of you orifices
  18. I'm almost never hungry and you learn by trial and error when your pouch is full. If you overeat you'll feel afterwards. Take it slow. It takes some time tinley chew properly and tinley eat slowly.
  19. I slept on the couch nearly sitting up for the first 2 weeks. In the bed for a week now and I made my husband switch places with me. I swing my feet to the floor then I push off my husband using only arm muscles I placed a kitchen chair next to my bed and I slide myself on the chair then I use the desk to push up with using only arms and leg muscles. Oh I usually sit in the chair for a few min before getting up cuz I'm super sore when I first wake up
  20. Weird we have too much in common Jen I'm 34 too
