Being Faithful
As a divorced mom of one I have to say that the kids are actually better off in a situation where there is less tension and animosity. They suffer more when they around parents who no longer get along. I know it was an adjustment for my son when my ex and I split when he was two however he is now a very well adjusted five year old whose parents love him very much. You will be ok Summer.. Stay strong and do what's right for you. Happy mom = happy kids

Lol that'd be something if it was for every 25 lbs lost- yikes!!- I Was Able To Hold Food Down
Great news!- What Are You Going To Miss Most?
Thanks Panda! Of course none of us are perfect.. And we will all have battles and struggles on this journey. But for the first time in my life I feel like I'm in control of my eating and really that feels almost as amazing as dropping the lbs. I feel I finally have the stability and understanding about my body and nutrition to keep this lifestyle for the rest of my life. That alone is so empowering. I plan to be here for my now 5 yr old son until he is old and gray. He is my motivator to be the best me I can be.- Who Else...
Magic mike is a new movie that comes out today with Channing Tatum and Matthew McConaughey about male strippers lol. I was on the boardwalk last week and walked past a group of make tourists in speedos it was not a pretty sight lol takes a certain type of man to rock a speedo hehe- Who Else...
For them who? Kevin's harem of adoring fans lol.- What Are You Going To Miss Most?
I agree with you Panda. I'm very careful with what I eat and when I eat it. I have had exactly 2 sugar free ice cream pops in the almost 3 months I am post op. I don't want to start new bad habits which is why I'm trying to avoid all the sugar free sweets. But as someone else said as an occasional treat I think it's ok. I'm proud of the choices I have been making as far as my nutrition and even prouder of my new found sense of control over food! I'm a work in progress for sure and just keep trying to make forward, positive progress.- Single?
Panda, thanks for sharing about your kids. Truly inspiring. As a single mom I know how rough it can be. I made some poor decisions as well, however I married way too young. I don't regret the path my life has taken as my son is the true light of my life! Looks like this site is becoming love connection! Love it!! But we want more Chippendales in here lol.- What Are You Going To Miss Most?
It's not the same mami lol. Maybe it's a mental thing but I'm talking full on ice cream sundae. Though I am happy with my occasional sugar free ice cream treat, at least it's close to the real thing.- Single?
You ladies are funny! Please let me know when the first annual RNY magic mike event starts... I want a good seat lol- Single?
Look out ladies.. We have a "dancer" in training. Work it boy lol. Seriously though, Nothing wrong with a great level of confidence- Single?
A lil bit of magic mike right here on our RNY board lol,- What Are You Going To Miss Most?
I second the ice cream... Boy do I miss it! Oh and Reese's peanut butter cups! Those were two of my big weaknesses!- Who Else...
Throwing my two cents in here-- nothing wrong with a lil RNY magic mike action!! As I shared in another thread, this whole shopping for clothes in a way smaller size is proving to be quite an adjustment for me. I still think I need like 4 sizes bigger than I'm actually wearing now. I do have to say I'm loving the cute dresses and stuff that I can now wear but I don't plan on buying a full wardrobe until my weight stabilizes.- Managing Hunger
Great tips as always! Thanks for sharing- Need To Vent Before I Explode
I hope you get the eval back soon! I know how frustrating it is when your surgery is being held up by things beyond your control. If you don't get it by Monday, I'd say more mister nice guy! Good luck- Where Is Everyone From?
I'm in Staten Island, NYC; had my surgery 4/16/12 @ NYU, surgeon was Dr. Marina Kurian.- Waiting On Approval
Welcome to the board. It's a great group of people here. I have to say you seem to have a good attitude about the surgery which definitely is important. I know I did the surgery for ME because it's my time to be healthy and feel good about myself. I agree what others think especially with negativity doesn't matter to me! This most definitely has not been an easy way out for me.. But I'm sure glad I had the surgery and am making this journey. Best wishes to you!- Calories Please
I've seen shannon too-- she's very nice and super knowledgeable! My email is mary_c_russell@yahoo.com. Thanks John!- Calories Please
John.. Just wondering which nutritionist you see? I see Despina.. She's great. Always quick to answer my emails! I never asked how many calories. It's a good question as I tend to focus on protein more than anything lol. Going to have to ask her!- Drop It Like It's Hot!
I can't find some of you guys.. So if you havent gotten a request from me... Feel free to add be, Mary Gaglio - What! O.o (Post Op Men)
