  1. Glad you're doing well. From what I've read, miralax and stool softeners. A lot of people recommend SMOOTH MOVE tea. And when it's at its worst, milk of magnesia. The first 3 are usually approved for continued, long term usage. April
  2. Oh, I can definitely fart. Lol. But without gobbling stool softener a I can't poop. I haven't lost any more weight since like, the first 3 days though. I think I need to up my fluids.
  3. That's awful. I'm so sorry. Are you able to get up and do your walking? I heard that helps. I hope you get to feeling better soon. (((Hugs)))
  4. Hahaha!!! Pooping your nonexistent food out!!!! Love it!!! I'm opposite. I'll probably pack my bag on Friday. Lol then check it. Then recheck it. Then check my cabinets. Then recheck them about 10 more times.
  5. I went to a bariatric center so I didn't have to find a separate psyche. I just used theirs. I'm bipolar and see a psych on a regular basis. Their psych said she'd approve me but wanted my personal psych to fax her a letter stating I was emotionally stable, etc. mine took about 4 days Bc of that wait.
  6. Lucky!!! My 3 hr drive will not be fun.
  7. Hmm... I'm wondering if subconsciously you'll realize just how REAL it is once you pack. Get that done woman!!!!! We are here for ya!!!
  8. Well, welcome This place is full of excellent support and information. Lots of great people on here who will help you as much as possible. Right now some of us are on pre-op diets and we are trying to get through it as easily as possible. Lol
  9. I see a lot of people post about gummy vitamins. My Nut said I wasn't to take them Bc they are too sugary and some ppl do not readily absorb them in that form and they just come right out on their stools. Other people take them so I guess it just depends on if you doc's office ok'd them
  10. I actually DL THE SECRET on my kindle. Need to read it.
  11. Ok Sher... I'm going to: See my reflection in store windows, stop... And strike a pose Bc I'll be looking so great Be able to run cross-country again Eat healthy and LOVE it Shop in Victoria's Secret Say buh-bye to Lane Bryant See food commercials on tv and not give a damn
  12. Welcome! I'm sorry you had to start back at square one, I know it can be frustrating. But, I found that in the time it took me to get where I'm at I've learned so very much. Take this extra time to learn even more about your new lifestyle and the nutritional changes that will happen. There is a lot of support on this forum and we'll be here cheering you on. Good luck!!! April
  13. If your multivitamin contains iron, it constipated ya
  14. Omg!!! Where's my Mac n cheese?
  15. There are lots of threads on here about it. Seems that lots of people take stool softener a regularly and many use milk of magnesia.
  16. Girl, I fell asleep for just a couple of minutes. Nodded off. I swear I woke thinking I had cheated on my pre-op diet Bc I dreamed I'd walked to the fridge and pulled out some pizza and ate it. I woke in a panic Bc I thought I had.
  17. What an excellent idea
  18. When I go to a restaurant I don't want my ass to be bigger than the chair. I'd love to not have to squeeze in a booth with my boobs sitting on the table on display. I wanna wear a dress that isn't " Coleman-tent" sized. I'd love to wear heels, I'd love to dress up as a genie for Halloween. Sure I could do the genie off Aladdin but I'd prefer the "I dream of genie" outfit. Lol
  19. Hey, I'll use that if it isn't taken!!!!
  20. I don't wanna look at a picture of me and cringe. Or see myself in the mirror and think "omg am I really that big?" I want to be comfy on a plane or in a movie theater. I want to shop all day with my daughter like I did before I got hurt. I look forward to seeing my BF's face in July when he'll see me for the first time after surgery. Hells yeah.
  21. I want to walk pain-free. Not feel out of breath going up stairs. I want to be able to get up off the floor from sitting there easier. And I can't even imagine how awesome the sex will be. Just sayin
  22. Exactly what Linda said. Also if you search "psych evaluation" you'll be able to see hundreds of threads on it.
  23. Edit: lots of ppl get their protein from regular meals, but many use whey when they need to meet their protein requirements.
  24. I put unflavored whey protein in anything I can pre-op. Soups, puddings, yogurts. I also have products like New Direction hot cocoa that has whey. 27g protein. I have New Direction broccoli cheddar Soup with whey, it has 27g as well. I drink Premier Protein and they have whey. The majority of people on here get their protein from whey. There are others that are soy and also vegetable Proteins.
  25. Thank you!!! I'm trying to block out any negative thoughts best I can. Worrying isn't going to make me feel any better so I'm locking that away for now. I'll change my handle eventually. Lol April
