  1. If you drink water it's used IN drinking water to winterize the system and keep drinking water from freezing. Unless you only drink spring water. And I'm not sure about those filtration systems. But I totally get what you're saying. There is lots of controversy over it. And the same with sucralose aka Splenda. I have a sensitivity to aspartame. It gives me headaches and diarrhea. Some people have that reaction to Splenda. In lab rats they both cause cancer. Of course in humans the equivalent would be copious amounts. Now days it seems like we just have to pick and choose our poisons. I will always lean toward stevia as my sweetener, but it's hard to find as a sweetener in products which sucks.
  2. I know what you mean. Great job!!! I measured yesterday (day 10) and I've lost 2 inches in my waist, an inch and a half in my hips and a half inch around my neck.
  3. Wow. Yeah, my guy does not know my weight. I totally feel where you're coming from. There was something making me sick with so many protein powders and she said at my second visit that her favorite was About Time. I was like "why didn't you tell me this the first visit instead of the second" and she flat out told me the office would rather us try their brands they carry first. Ok, understandable to an extent, but I was still pretty pissed. Lol
  4. Not trying to argue or debate, but the thing about Mio scared me so I looked it up. The thing about how they truck it in is not true either but I didn't wanna have to copy n paste n stuff again.
  5. I wouldn't say Mio is pure sugar, far from it. If you read the back you'll see its not healthy but it not bad either. Everyone is worried about two of the ingredients, "propylene glycol" and sucralose. The rest has no complaints the i came across, so I'll focus on those two. First Propylene glycol, yes it is used in antifreeze, BUT it is "non-toxic" antifreeze and is the exact opposite of "ethylene" glycol which is also used in [toxic] antifreeze that is very toxic to humans and animals. Propylene glycol is used in antifreeze for winterizing drinking water systems. It is also used as a moisturizer in medicines, cosmetics, food, toothpaste, shampoo, mouth wash, hair care products, and the main ingredient of deodorant sticks. The list goes on, it's a good thing to look up it is in a lot of everyday things. Now sucralose, in minimal amounts as in mio is not bad, think about it most baking mixes have splenda in it, which is made from sucralose. Everything in Mio is something the body can use, as it is also found in other everyday items. Also if you're not sure just look it all up on your own, the short list list of ingredients doesn't take long. I really hope this helps, by the way i love Mio, it's really getting me to drink more water throughout the day. Source(s): Research on every ingredient listed. In the Berry Pomegranate Mio, which all Mio's are mainly the same except…Read more
  6. That's odd. When I stocked at walmart it just came on the truck with everything else. But my absolute favorite is crystal lite pure, which is sweetened with stevia and you can't find anywhere but online since those Mio like squirts have taken over the shelves.
  7. Awesome. I learned a little something new with that. It's good that full liquids calm it down.
  8. I remember being like that after my gallbladder was removed. Lol. It took over a week for mine to go down. Hang in there n it'll go away. That's an amazing job on getting your Water done! Woot woot!!
  9. Hahaha!!! I'm sorry but that's hilarious. I just mix unflavored with mio or crystal lite in a blender bottle. Then add ice. The opening is small so I don't have to smell it. I don't use unjury. I use my wls clinic's or Herbalife. Herbalife is by the spoonful. Not a scoop.
  10. Are you still in the hospital. I know the gas hurts but, other than that, you seem to be rockin n rollin
  11. About time uses 7 ingredients or less and you can pronounce every one of them. It's the #1 my nut recommends.
  12. Hi guys, About Time uses Stevia. They are also yummy. You can go to www.tryabouttime.com
  13. My sis had to do room temp or warmer at first. Had to use a couple drops of Mio in her water. Supposedly, water has a lower tension level when you add Mio or Crystal Lite, so it goes down easier. Try Gatorade too.
  14. On site you'll go up by your name and click the settings icon. Then click "my settings". Next click "notification options" that in the list on the left. Uncheck the row on the right.
  15. Are you on the app or the site?
  16. Probably just you're new tummy say wtf. Lol
  17. CC, I'm glad you're able to get up and around so that gas can dissipate. Thank goodness.
  18. Sarah, my friend had them while she was in the hospital and they ended up giving her an antispasmodic. Hers wouldn't stop though. Lol
  19. Lol. And this is also something I'm not to have. Oatmeal, cream of wheat etc Bc of carbs. I believe I'll stick with what bearman99 said on the other thread. April
  20. Jen!!!!!! We were waiting to hear from you!!!! Thank you for checking in. ((( hugs))) Consider this your first "drunk" with only 15% of your tummy. Lol. Thank god for no gas pains!!! Woot woot!!!!! So happy you're doing great n don't worry about walking. No need to put yourself in danger of falling with you being a loopy Lou
  21. I had my food funerals, just a few of them. Glad I did Bc I feel like I got it out of my system. Mind you, those were BEFORE I started my pre-op diet. I actually had three things I wanted to eat so I had three meals over the course of about 3 weeks. Now that I'm on my pre-op diet I'm not eating anything other than what's approved for me. My surgery is the 18th and I don't want to do anything to mess that up. April
  22. Mine said "anything that you could suck through a straw if it were at room temp". It doesn't mean I suck it through said straw, just that if I am to consume it, I'd have to be able to. Except for the day right before surgery. That is clear liquids only.
  23. Mine's probably a good thing for me Bc carbs are such triggers for me. But no potato soup or mashed taters during puréed is gonna stink. I'm on that for 2 weeks then soft for 3.
  24. Wowza! Yours is totally different from mine. Totally. I'm not to have over 50g carbs a day til I reach goal. My Protein is at least 70g. The carbs I get are to come from vegetables and fruits with the exception of sf pudding (only if I add Protein powder to it) and ff yogurts which I am to have at least 12g protein in. The usual 64 oz liquids Even in my full liquids and purée and mushy phases I cannot have mashed potatoes, (or peas or corn) which are so many ppls go-to food.
