  1. Lots and lots of threads about it. My bud, indecision, is at goal. Gets like 4 hrs of sleep. Says he can't sleep past 4am. That is something I hope like heck to dodge as I've already got severe sleep apnea and feel tired constantly.
  2. My mom literally drove me nuts. Nuts. There were days I loved her and days I wanted to find a sinkhole and bury her. All in all, I wish she were still here to drive me nuts and make me wanna strangle her. Lol Everything will work out, hang in there.
  3. My bestie is almost two years out and still burps. After anything going in. And I swear I can sometimes hear her stomach across the entire room. Lol
  4. So strange how each of us has our own guidelines. Any protein powders I'm to consume (and your product would still be considered protein powder) is to have less than 5g carbs. And grams of carbs should never exceed grams of protein. Seems difficult, but I'm finding that it really isn't. They are a center of excellence and respect the facility a lot, as I'm certain you respect yours. There are lots of constipation remedies. From powders, to laxatives and suppositories, to stool softeners and enemas. Now as for the OP to remain at 500 calories per day until 100 pounds is lost, that is mystifying me. My nut said the goal for optimum weight loss is about double that, if I'm too low for very long I'll go into starvation mode and stop losing. When I work out I will need efficient energy to sustain a workout. This is one reason they only have you walk for the first 6 weeks. So you have time to bump your caloric intake.
  5. It seems like every time someone mentions wls there is always someone's friend of a friend's uncle's cousin's neice's neighbor that died from it. Or gained their weight back. But seriously, it's just a story. Sure there are risks, but the comorbidities that are weight related will be what really kills you. Shame on your mother. I'm certain she has a legitimate fear or she wouldn't be acting out, but what an immature way to do it. If she didn't love you, she wouldn't care. So try to only take that into consideration and sit down and talk to her about it when you're both cooled off.
  6. Plain Ol' miralax is a few dollars and does wonders. My nut would freak on something with that many carbs. Lol
  7. Bree, are they giving you anything for the spasms?
  8. Once your calories are upped you should start losing more. Plus, do not forget that everyone has stalls.
  9. You can't exercise on 500 calories. Also if you're not losing weight it's probably from eating too few calories. I'd definitely talk to some of the vets about this. They are more in tune with caloric intake. If you don't exercise you're gonna lose muscle. This sounds hinky. I can see it at first, but not til you lose 75%.
  10. Walk and walk to get that gas outta there. Also, head hunger is definitely what can break you if you don't get it under control. I'm on my pre-op, haven't cheated but think about food constantly. I'm not even hungry and I want food. So I feel your pain.
  11. Yup. Between 2 and 5 I'll know what time to be there Tuesday. SJ says Jen's probably just walking the halls like a bad a$$. Lol Well, lots of hugs and keep up the good work. Be sure n update when u can
  12. Can't believe we haven't heard anything from Jencovi. Just eager to know all is well with her. CC, very proud of you. Walk walk walk, sip sip sip tomorrow after u get the all-clear to drink.
  13. Yay!!! Glad to hear you're doing well! Odd that you're starving. I rarely hear that, but sometimes do. It could be stomach acid or real hunger. Do you get to eat ice chips or anything
  14. The silver lining is that you know ahead of time instead of sitting there waiting. That happens all too often.
  15. Same day as me. Are u on a pre-op diet?
  16. You will. Just hang on tight, your ride has just begun.
  17. That's actually common. They pump you full of fluids and you can stay bloated for quite a while.
  18. I got them at walmart on the soup aisle next to the regular broths. They are easy to overlook though.
  19. I think it's more the thought. I smell the alcohol and get dizzy. Lol
  20. Only thing that gets me nervous is if I let myself think about the IV. I just slam the door on those thoughts though. I'll deal with it when the time comes. I usually faint, but I'll be lying down anyway.... I'm the 18th.

    Pretty strategic placement
  22. You can add a scoop of unflavored protein to some crystal lite and guzzle that and it will help. It's not the best drink on the planet but it's not horrible either.
