  1. welcome! best of luck as you begin the process!
  2. Feb 6 I can eat anything my sleeve is comfy with. I've had no issues with anything so far. No complaints. Clothes are getting loose. Family and friends super proud of me. -21 lbs since surgery -46 total
  3. Lower carbs (lower...not "no" carbs) works best for me.
  4. I'm a month out and have tolerated everything I've tried. I just don't eat much of it at a time and chew chew chew. chicken, BBQ beef, fish, pork.
  5. Have you tried different Protein drinks? One of my favorite drinks is to mix a scoop of Sytrax nectar Lemon Tea with a little packet of Crystal Light peach mango tea into 20 oz of Water. Add a few ice cubes. I sip on that for a few hours. I also like
  6. I took the survey but the last question didn't have an answer for me but I had to pick one anyway. I'm just starting my journey.

  8. HHHappy replied to mizzzmoka's topic in The Gals' Room
Not as swollen so had to tighten up some straps on my sandals
  9. good luck with the stress test!
  10. If you'll go to the top and search on the Forum tab for "General Weightloss Surgery Forums" and then find food and Nutrition, there is a subforum for Proteins supplements. It's very helpful!! I wish they hadn't moved that information to General because it was so handy here. People don't know where it is. unjury.com is a must! The chicken Protein is so good mixed with chicken broth. I also like the strawberry sorbet mixed with yogurt or mixed with Water and a packet of crystal light cherry/pom
  11. What exactly does your policy state. For example, I had to be above 40 bmi for the last two previous years. So if you drop below that during your weight loss phase, perhaps it won't matter if you've been above 40 for previous years. Call your insurance company and ask about it.
  12. My personal opinion is that numbers on the scale are just that - numbers. There are so many variables. I don't have a number goal. When my body tells me it's at a good weight, that will be my goal.
  13. I'm sorry you are sad
  14. I know it sounds like a pain to record everything that you put in your mouth but it will be very helpful in the long run. I had to do a 3 month supervised diet...
  15. I didn't get a packet at the seminar but i did get one when I had my first consultation with the surgeon.
  16. Maybe you can print out some articles for her to read...and reread and reread. Here's one that I really like. http://www.today.com/health/food-addicts-new-study-measures-out-control-eating-2D11988780
  17. Blender Ball container is very useful. I was going to use my blender but it makes the Protein powder foam up so much. Blender Ball works much better for protein shakes. Crystal light individual "go" packets to boost Protein Powder flavor,, especially if you are going to use the nectar Proteins like fuzzy navel. Herbal tea - especially peppermint. It will sooth your new sleeve right after surgery.
  18. I'm almost a month out and have zero complaints. I've had no complications or issues.
