  1. I have not wanted to try bread yet. What's the brand?
  2. Your insurance will drive a lot of what you have to do. I have Aetna and was required to do 3 months of "multidisciplinary" program. A part of that was being on a supervised diet. I had no set amount of weight to lose but I was not allowed to GAIN any during 3 months. I also met with nutritionist monthly and had a psychological workup. My surgeon required EKG, EGD, Heart checkup (which I had already done), and be up to date on colonoscopy, pap and mammo. I also had two sets of blood work done before surgery. 2 weeks before surgery I was required to be on a liver shrinking diet. I drank Protein shakes for Breakfast and lunch then had a list of lean cuisines I could choose from at night. I was approved for surgery by Aetna in 3 business days. I had surgery a month later. I'm only a little over two weeks out. I have NO regrets. I consider myself lucky because I have had very little post op issues. No gas pain at all, very little nausea. I'm able to get my liquids and Proteins in just fine. GOOD LUCK!!
  3. I love Syntrax Nectars. I mix them with Water and add a crystal light individual packet to boost the flavor. Fuzzy Navel (CL orange classic) and Lemon Tea (with CL peach mango tea) are the two I'm drinking now. I also mix
  4. Fantastic!!!! WOW! Congrats!!!
  5. My doctor used twilight sleep so I was good to go after a few hours.
  6. Share your concerns with your surgeon. I had a super easy recovery but I did prepare myself for the worst. I spent 3 months on this site reading everyone's experiences and have learned a lot.
  7. WooHoo!!! Looking GREAT!!
  8. Hi Kathy, I was a few days after you! Good luck!
  9. I can drink plenty of liquids with no problem. When I added egg salad, I could only eat like 5 small bites.
  10. Hope approval goes swiftly for you!
  11. Have you talked to your doctor? Maybe you need to switch acid reflux meds
  12. I keep reading this over and over... stay off the scale. Bodies lose at different rates. Have you measured yourself?
  13. I'm so sorry you are going through this!! Speedy healing!
  14. I'm drinking decaf. My doctor said no coffee for 4 months so that is what I'll do.
  15. I wasn't given any restriction on the type of soup. That is odd. I would ask the NUT the reason.
  16. Plain broth isn't good to me either but add some unjury chicken to it and it's awesome!
  17. You look amazing! Congrats
  18. I've tried grape and punch. I had to really "work" to get them down. They have an odd taste to me. It helps to add some crystal light to them but I'd rather get my Protein from Syntrax Nectars if I want a clear.
  19. That must be horrible. I assume you've been scoped to rule out any type of issue causing this.
