  1. My surgeon told me that several years ago, they used a 50 French endoscope to guide to remove the stomach. They realized that was too big, so most surgeons use a 32-42 now. I know mine used a 34 on me. That makes it small enough that they removed the stretchy part of the stomach.

  8. I didn't know my surgery date until after dinner last night! I got an email from my surgeon saying they could schedule me on March 10th if i can start liquid diet today! Well, of course i am ready to get this process going, so I told them definitely, I am ready....I am also away for a work related trip, so I am at a conference today that had Breakfast, mid morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack all provided...I am sipping my Water and Protein shake....
  9. Nice to meet you! Good luck on your journey! What type of pre-op diet do you have?
  10. March 10th is my surgery date! I started pre-op diet today. Anyone else March 10th?
  11. Tentatively March 21st pending insurance approval. Everything is submitted, so I'm just trying to be patient.
  12. I got a call today from my insurance nurse educator. She asked me some questions about my physicians follow up support program. She also gave me my reference number and the phone number to call to check the status of my paperwork. So I called and learned that they have everything, but it is still being reviewed. I did learn March 21st is the expected date of surgery they were given. So curious how often I should call to check my status. I want to call everyday, but don't want to be too over the top.
  13. So I have a 6 month attempt but it was 2 years ago. So we will see. They started tracking again in January just in case. I am just ready!
  14. It mentions a 6 month diet attempt but it doesn't say it has to be recent. It doesn't even have to be with a doctor.
  15. They are submitting my info to insurance today. I know this is in Gods hands. I just pray they don't require a 6 month diet. When my navigator called to check benefits at the first of January, they told him they evaluate each case by case so they couldn't say if there were requirements other than the 40bmi or 35 with comorbidity. I have found I have severe sleep apnea. My bmi is 46. I am so ready to have this tool to help me achieve my goals. So please send some positive vibe to me today.
  16. Mine has no fee either. They have lifetime support b
