  1. I ate lots of sugar free popsicles. After a few days it does get better but I struggled to at first. You can do it!!
  2. I'm almost 6 months out. I eat 2-3 oz of chicken breast with half a tomato for lunch. String cheese mid afternoon. 3 turkey meatballs at night with a few broccoli crowns. Protein bar if needed. That is a typical day for me.
  3. Read, read, read about both procedures along with discussing them with your surgeon. Good luck!
  4. I didn't experience any of those things. My recovery was practically painless. Good luck!!
  5. So sorry for your stresses!! Try and get in more fluid. Doesn't have to be plain water! Try flavored waters or add flavored drops.

  10. I had no comorbidities but I was tired of feeling so bad being over weight and "dieting" for 40plus years. But once I made up my mind that this was right for ME, I was thrilled and couldn't wait until surgery! And I was just as excited as they wheeled me into OR!

    good for you!
  14. I'm over 3 months out and I enjoy food. I just don't eat much of it. There's nothing I can't tolerate. Being in control over the food is an awesome feeling.
  15. I could have done it but everyone is different.
  16. What did your surgeon say about it? I am hypothyroid and losing at a steady rate. Slow and steady.
  17. I'm also hypothryoid. My energy level returned in less than a week post op!
  18. Honeysuckle brand makes precooked Italian Style Meatballs. They are very good and very soft. I pop a couple in the microwave and put a little marinara sauce on them. Very good!
