  1. I have GHI HMO MY papers were sent in on a Tuesday and I got the call Wednesday morning from GHI themselves . But I think my PCP did an excellent letter for me .
  2. My doc told me that 4-6 lbs avg a month is good for me . I had lost 3.5 in 2 weeks. I too ate like a pig (by banding standards) on Easter. I was banded on 2/9 and have not been filled at all yet.
  3. go all out in the after pic. new hair great makeup and of course new clothes. That is such great news . Glam it up .

  5. My son is 17 I told him 3 days before surgery that I was getting a band . He took it very well and asked why I didn't tell him sooner. I think for the little ones to tell them that your tummy is getting fixed would be ok. They might even thinks its fun to eat the same foods as mommy does while your tummy heals .
  6. I was allowed to drink diluted coffee immediate post op . I never had to avoid anything other than Motrin.
  7. My Dr.'s office had told me to eat 1 pear a day . I also eat prunes and lettuce with lunch and dinner
  8. I used to drink Pepsi all the time then I starting drinking less . Now its been about 2 years since I had soda I like room temp. water now and if I go out I get water with a wedge of lemon in it . as for caffeine I drink coffee and tea both hot or iced with no sugar it took a bit of time but I am used to it now. try it and see what happens .
  9. alot of the people you see on this post all go to Goshen every other Monday for a support meeting. Its a nice small group . I did ok at Cheeseburger I had a skewer of chicken and some salad the rest was lunch for the following day. Have you been walking around after your surgery??? It does help you can take small sips of water also but SMALL sips your tummy needs to heal .

    congats on your band I ws banded on 2-9-05 by Dr. Kwon. It does get better over time plus please remember you did just have surgery. You body needs to heal itself now. small sips helps.
  11. refried beans turned out to be my new comfort food the other day I wanted something yummy to eat I heated up a can of refried beans melted some cheddar on top and a spoon or salsa. Yum-oh BTW that one can lasts a few meals .
  12. court went great , Thnaks to all who answered. I lost 35 lbs so far and get this one Ex hubby gained 30 . LOL great moment. He wanted to go out to lunch and I told him that I had things to do. And he asked with who. What a GREAT feeling :banana:

  14. I have to go to family court tomorrow and see the ex hubby I haven't seen him in months. And he does not know that I was banded .
  15. :banana :banana I am going to court toorrow morning and I noticed that the clothes I wore to my christmas party were too big to wear Today I bought a pair of pants tat was 2 sizes smaller than I wore pre-op. I also tried on a jacket and it was a 1X . WOW what a great feeling . :banana :banana

  17. Panda Dr. Kwon asked me before surgery if I was nervous and when I replied yes he said that good its normal it would be different if you were not nervous . You'll be fine Jasper and I are ok and we are here for you any questions please feel free to contact us

I was wondering if anyone ever had pain in the left lower side I was banded on 2/9/05 and now I get this pain after I go to the bathroom,it usually does not bother me when I am sitting down but it feels like a really bad cramp when I am walking. I am going to the doctor tomorrow afternoon . I was just wondering if anyone else ever had this problem.
  19. testing takes about 4 hours ,I was back at work by 1pm. we are meeting at Cheeseburger in Paradise in Middletown if you PM me your number we can all hook up

  21. I was having my pre-op testing and It ws during my endoscopy that they found it . I have had some heartburn but nothing major . Thank goodness you went and got the meds .
  22. I love my coffee I was drinking diluted coffee a few days after surgery. I now drink coffee with skim milk and a teaspoon of 1/2 &1/2 ( gotta have it) and no sugar .. Thats my fav.
  23. No catheter was inserted in me I did have an overnight stay as per my insurance company they told me to stay overnght
  24. I tested pos and Was put on antibiotics for 2 weeks along with flagyl after taking the meds I got my band. take care of it.
  25. My fav changes alot currently I am wearing Burberry London very nice I get alot of WOW's wearing it .
