I am in HEAVEN!! 3 weeks on liquids and I was READY for something like this.. AND I went ahead and got tomorrows and spent $1.70 on lunch for 2 days - much better than $10 a day. This rocks!!!

Thank you Megan!! That sure is sweet of you. I do think that one thing I have learned in the past three weeks is that ATTITUDE really is the key to this. I really think that if your heart is in it... it makes it SO much easier.

:Bunny :banana :D

Kara, I can totally relate, Refired Beans were the best tasting thing after 3 weeks of liquids. They were my main mushy food , I loaded them with melted cheese and hot sauce from Del Taco Yum Yum!

The money issue is one that I haven't seen brought up before but it occurred to me the other day that I am spending a load less on food too. I was thinking about doing what people giving up cigs do and putting the money in a jar to spend on something else.

I haven't managed to add up how much I've saved but it must be 50-100 pounds over the last month.

Anyone else done anything interesting with the money they've saved?

I love refried beans now.. so it will probably give me great pleasure to be able to eat them again during the mushy stage.. I make my own so i can probably add a few things to make it a diffrent meal everynight... poor hubby i can just here him now.. "Beans again?" LOL

Great idea! That will make the hubby really happy, and less stresed about the bill for surgery!

Trish, your poor husband...HA! Beans AGAIN?! I love refrieds.

Hi Kara,

I can remember how excited I got about potted meat! Never liked the stuff in my life but it tasted so gooood! Even now 21 months later, I am a chili aholic. I eat turkey chili once a week. I make it with organic Beans, rotel, a can of chunky tomatoes, hot sauce, cilantro, garlic onions and a pound of turkey. I eat it with a few tortilla chips and I am a happy camper. Good luck and keep up the good attitude.

My favorite mushy food still and I have it on occasion still is Refried beans, shredded cheese, can of chicken, and a little dab of sour cream on top. OH I add organic tomato soup about 1/2 cup while it all is cooking. Loaded with protein and so delicious. Filing as well.

Hello All!

Thanks so much for all the support.

I kind of got spicy tonight. I took a small throw a way pan, put a very thin layer of spag. sauce, then a layer of Ricotta cheese, then a little more sauce. Sprinkled some 2 % milk cheese and baked for about 25 min. NUMMMY! I could only eat about a half a cup and I was STUFFED. I have enough for about 6 meals. lol

It isnt as packed with Protein as I would have liked, but enough to round out about 55 G's today. Will need more, but it is HARD to get it in during the mushies phase.
