  1. OMG raching my goal weight of 160 was amazing I have men out my ears now. One guy was so taken aback by me that his heart was pounding. He said that I left him breathless and my eyes were amazing. Never in my life have I ever gotten so much attention and to have a man want to walk behind you to check you out . totally loving life now BTW I have been divorced for 11yrs
  2. My TT went great . minimal pain and discomfort. I went back to work in 2 weeks but this is only me and everyone is different. Thebest thing to do is to talk to your Primary, see who they reccomd as a PS .I did I spoke to other surgeons and asked if they have ever worked with my chosen PS. And Like in everything you do you need to research your doctor. look at pictures and ask questions. look on the internet and see if they ever had a suit against them . also word of mouth is the best reference. ask around . Please tell your friend that surgical practices have advanced in the past 30 years . Again ASK AROUND and do your research.
  3. I was a size 10 and I used to be a shoe junkie . My thoughts were no matter what your shoes always fit. now I wear between a 8 1/2-9 amazing but I had to get rid of all those shoes. thanks goodness for cosignment shops.
  4. Nhanson congrats on your band
  5. I found those bolthouse drinks in my local Wal-Mart
  6. Carnation Instant breakfast was the best for me I added 1/4 cup of non fat powdered milk to boost the protein, you can aslo add some peanut butter to the chocolate and some cinnamon to the vanilla. I too am not a breakfast person and never will be .My doc told me to just adjust my eating to my time schedule. so I have coffee in the morning then at 11 I eat breakfast, usually some hummus and carrots. around 3 I have some soup for lunch then I eat dinner at 7 . It seems to work and at least you are not forcing yourself to drink that nasty protein.
  7. TO all that posted ...Thank you
  8. thanks it is amazing . I had a doctor tell me that he could never imagine me being overweight and they want to see the pictures as proof. When I show the picture, they want to recommend patients . I give thanks daily to the wonderful people that have helped me reach this place
  9. :whoo:I really can't believe that. I met a coworker today ,we have spoke non the phone and through email for months.I have told her about my surgeries in the past. Well today I decided to go and meet her face to face. She saw me and said oh,my aren't you the skinny little thing.. I had to give her a hug THat felt great. at my surgeons office they have a saying nothing tastes as good as thin feels. I understand that today. Just had to let everyone here know ... someone called me skinny today:bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce:
  10. There is one at my surgeon's office but that in Middletown and I am not sure you would be willing to drive up here for that. you can start researching lapband and PM'ing any bandsters that you see have a NYC name.
  11. Shrinkage, Laura was right what is good for one might not be so good for another . I think trial by error is the best way. You are the only one who knows what can and cannot go down well. I live on soup now and I have become quite inventive with quiches. I have a tough time with beef and forget about bread .
  12. another one... my son tells me that if I lose any more weight he won't be able to see me..he complains that he can't hear me coming down the stairs anymore.
  13. At work the other day a patient was telling me how she nneded to lose a few extra pounds . I told her that I knew what she was talking about. She said that losing weight was so hard to do I told her that my doctor once told me that if I didn't lose weight I would need a knee replacement by the time I am forty. THe patient said he's crazy your so skinny. I hugged her and then told her that I had lose alot of weight... She wanted my surgeon number.
  14. I have found that afte my tummy tuck I now notice my inner thighs more. Think about it. your pannus was covering the upper part of your thighs and then presto its gone and your thighs are now exposed. I should have thought about tis before having my tt.
  15. Congrats on your TT . I am a nurse in a doctors office and I was back at work in 2 weeks As to resize the pics try to right click on the pic in your picture editor. It will show you sizes I chose the mid size email and it was the perfect size try that and see . i want to se pics too.
  16. tuna, egg or chicken salad are great mushies. the refried beans with taco sauce and a bit of lowfat sour cream. quiche . One of my favs is seafood quiche made with egg beaters and skim milk. another is ham and cheese. egg drop soup made with ff chicken broth nd scramble an egg in it . and of course smoothies made with ff vanilla yogurt. remember to think outside the box and you cam come up with some great meal ideas
  17. I had a Starbucks iced coffee light . I found it at shoprite,in a can by the snapple drinks. It has 35 calories. serve over ice and oh my it was good .
  18. my screen name is my dog,Paco and I am his mom. hence Pacomomma. Kinda stupid but I like it. I am feeling great . I posted some before and after pics on my thread so if you want to check it out go ahead or Im me and I will send it to you.
  19. good for you .I am sorry that you had pain. but everydy gets better. I went to my PS the otherday and I am now 2 1/2months out and I feel great. I have no restrictions at all and My PS told me that I am still swollen and that might last till November, thats when I am seeing him again. Are you still taking pain meds? try to move a little more each day.
  20. You will go through a mourning period... you are losing your best friend, someone who has been there for good times ,bad times, when your lonely and sad. Now my worst moment was at work we had a baseball themed birthday for a doctor and I ate a hot dog w/bun too fast. Ended up vomiting up everything. After that I chew, chew, chew
  21. thanks, well worth everything
  22. Here is a before pic this was taken 3 days before surgery. the after was taken in Jan.
  23. Cali my doc took pics of a rash that I had on the right side of my pannus. My pannus also covered my pubic area and I think that might be a reason to have plastic surgery. My doc took care of everything I can't tell you what was in the letter but if you took a look at my before pic I think the person in the insurance company wasgrossed out and stamped my letter approved to get it off their desk.
  24. I needed help just to get up for two days. It was only to get up out of bed.I washed up and walked by myself. I even took my son to the storeon day 5 and my PS told me that I could go back to work on day7. Overall I am doing great. I went from a tight 14 to a comfy 10 and I am exercising. its amazing to see that I now have a lap. I even show coworkers my scar, not the entire scar but the side by my hip. they are amazed how thin and flat it is.
