Blue Cross/Blue Shield PPO
I have Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield. It is also PPO. I have not yet been banded, but my Ins. said they do cover the band. I live in Mississippi. I have gotten every thing reqiured by the Dr. and Ins.Co. Med records/ nutritional assessment/ weight loss records/ Letter of medical necesity/waiting to see Psychologist Jan 4. After that I will wait for approval from Ins. Co. You should call your Ins. Co. and ask if lapband is covered. They should tell you right away if it is and how much coverage you would have. Your Band Dr. should be able to send all codes and other health info to them.

I did pretty good yesterday. I'm not gonna lie. I got in 60 oz. That better than before , because I had really gotten bad over the holidays. Doing better today I've gotten in 70 so far and the day isn't over. I think 10 more oz shouldn't be a problem!!! Thanks for helping get me back on my water.

Saggy boobs and Vicky's Secret!
I'm not feeling hopeful after reading this. I have at least 125 pounds to loose and am trying to figure out how to find 500 dollars to pay at last Dr. visit to get banded which is alot of money to me. My Ins.. will cover the band and I know i will have to pay what they won't. I know I will need tucked/ lifted / lipo/.... the works is what I'll ask for. But how will I ever pay for an entirely new body? Does any Ins. cover these proceders?

confused thoughts
Petuna Welcome! I am new here myself. I am hoping to be banded in Jan or Feb. I hope to get approved in next few weeks. I have also tried th Advant Edge Protein drinks when dieting. I ask my Dr. about them and they are a good source of protein.I think they taste better than some of the others. The Nutritionist told me to use Promod... It is is nasty, all though it is a very good source of protein. I hope to be able to get protein from eggs and cheese ect.. after surgery. That is if those things don't bother me. I've heard some people have problems eating eggs and some meats. As any one had troubles with certain foods? Which ones should I look out for? I really wish you and your boyfriend lots of luck. Hope he will get approved soon. Just be there for him no matter what. I don't think you should beat your self up about you getting approved. Maybe he will get approved later, and then you will already know what advice could help him get through his surgery easier. good luck to you both.

Snowing in Texas
Jack I've been to the nutritionist already and I scheduled to see a pshycologist Jan 4. little worried about that visit, never been to one before. What kind of questions should I expect? Nutritionist gave me a list off foods to eat now. Is there another diet before surgery?
