  10. Well I must say that I really feel that there probably isn't a bandster out there that can say they have never had band related side effects... for example... Pb'd or slimed had more gas since being banded or has burped more since being banded or had food bother them more since being banded. I think all of these things will happen to you at least once....but it is a big problem if you vomit and have pain do to being banded. If you have these symptoms seek medical help!!!! On the other hand I do feel that the benefits of being banded out weigh the alternative. being over weight, highblood pressure, high cholesterol, ect... I for one deffinatly am reeping the benefits more than the side effects. I'm losing weight, I feel better, I have more energy,I no longer take medications for blood pressure and cholesterol. I'm daily regaining my life back!!! I love my band!!!
  11. Wishing you lots of good news at the dr. Waiting to hear from you..........
  12. I think that you just answered your own question. You have every right to be nervous...I know I was... but I also said the same thing to my self that you just did. How will I know till I try?? Then it was like all of the sudden I was still scared but I knew what I had to do.... I GOT BANDED and I'm down 36 pounds since March and I love my band and I'm so glad I got this done. I have hope again that I will reach my weight loss goal and feel good again... And I know that you will do the same. But you and only you can make this desicion ... and this desicion may very well be in the top most important desicions that you will ever make in a life time... no wonder your nervous. You give it some more thought and reasearch and make sure this is what you want and if you continue to feel nervous and feel that you really want to try it... GO FOR IT!!!! good luck and rememeber no one can make this desicion but you... FOLLOW YOUR HEART!!!!
  13. I drink the EAS shakes alot even though I've been banded since March. I like the fact they give you energy Plus They are only 100 calories... very low in carbs but 15 grams of Protein per shake. Not enough for a meal but an inbetween pick me up or great in the mornings with some yogurt or fruit. The choclate fudge ones are my favorite. I would think you could get some of the Yoplait smoothies already made ... they are over by the yogurt section. these are thin enough to go through a straw and would be a good source of protein and Calcium. Hope you continue to feel better each day!!!
  14. My Dr. said it was fine to go swimming after 6 weeks.... but check with your dr because he might tellyou differently. I went swimming a couple weeks ago and with no problems.

  20. $$$$$ signs or no $$$$ signs PLEASE don't wait to get help from your dr.Especially after being banded. You don't want to risk hurting your self vomiting... and vomiting all the time after being banded is not normal. Please tell your sis to tell her surgeon that she is pbing and vomiting alot. She needs to address these problems cause they could become worse. Good luck with getting banded and take care of your self and your band always!!!
