I was sleeved exactly 2 months prior to my wife. My surgery and recovery were textbook...zero complications. Now my wife on the other hand...let's just say when I read your post, I almost said, "Honey, is that you???". LOL
She also had hernia repair (two) and an issue getting enough fluids. It took about a month for me to sleep with both eyes closed (in her state of mind, she was not to be trusted! ), however she is doing great now and that early period is a distant memory. I pray you have a speedy recovery and hope you have the same outcome as my bride. She is now 9 months out and we're lovin' life!

I was probably straining the top end of a 22 at my heaviest. They weren't button popping, but they were pretty tight and I'm sure that being at the top of one size is partially the reason why it seems to be taking longer to go down a size. And things are finally loos enough that I think I am at least within 5-10 pounds of a new size so it's not like there's no end in sight. I think I just got down a little bit down seeing so many people talking about how drastic their body transformations have been when they have lost fewer pounds than I have. I'll get there though, I'm sure, and I'm grateful to everyone who replied with encouragement and support!

This is indeed a great thread. I'm not bored on this site [yet]. probably due to picking and choosing what I'll read. But sometimes I'll stumble upon a post so incredibly...searching for the word....inane? scary? ridiculous?...that I just shake my head and wonder why why why? This is always a post where someone is having an obvious ER-qualifying situation and they are asking the interwebz for a collective opinion. "I haven't been able to eat or drink anything for one week. Has anyone else had this happen to them?"
I have to hold myself back from typing Honey, please get off your computer and get yourself to the emergency room.

I'm actually starting to get arm pits! I told my nurse coach this and she laughed! That was a new one on her! I said I've always had fat arms and now there is some definition. Lol!!

I bought size large shirts yesterday for the first time in a Very Long Long time....super excited

That was me yesterday!!! Took 3 hours. I finally bought one top. And one pair if black jeans ( 18). . I am now between women's and misses sizes! I actually tried on some XL shirts.!! It was very overwhelming. !!

Went grocery shopping today and for the first time in years I bought only the items I went in to buy. No Cookies, cakes, cereals, Gummy candy etc...I am truly amazed and did not even realize it until I was in check out.

My give-a-damn meter sees things like that as a someone trying to accidentally-on-purpose put you on public blast...
My response would've started with "b-tch please"....

Ahhh "The Easy Way Out" syndrome.
Yeah, tell them they need to go on a 2 week liquid diet, followed up by removal of 80% of their stomach, recover from surgery, start working out, figuring out how to eat with 80% of their stomach all while addressing food addiction and emotional problems.
Yeah, it's the easy way out...
Or maybe respond with something like, "That moment when you realize you thought you had a real friend then realize they judge a decision you made to better and prolong your life...CRUSHED."

The Lane Bryant 14/16 pants I thought I was going to wear today...too big.
I'm happy and a little bummed that I didn't get a chance to wear them. I really didn't think they would fit until today.
Note to self...try things on EVERY week.

HW 368 well before I even thought of surgery.
Weight at beginning of process: 338
VSG Date: 12/11/13
SW: 327.5
CW: 267.0
Size 28 to 20 fitting into 18 REAL soon.
I am blessed in that I was going to the pool regularly before surgery. I'm still going to the pool 3 times a week with weight training during the week as well.
