  1. 3/4 of a baked chicken thigh and 2 florets of broccoli...that was lunch today! I'm stuffed...
  2. I haven't received my EOB from my insurance provider yet but, my surgery was covered under my plan. Total out of pocket = $250.00
  3. I still eat this quite frequently and add a scoop of powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury Unflavored Protein powder for extra protein. It's cheap, easy and good. The sesame oil really does make it taste just that much better. Prep Time: 5 minutes Cook Time: 10 minutes Total Time: 15 minutes Ingredients:4 cups chicken broth or stock 2 eggs, lightly beaten 1 -2 green onions, minced 1/4 teaspoon white pepper Salt to taste A few drops of sesame oil (optional) Preparation:In a wok or saucepan, bring the 4 cups of chicken broth to a boil. Add the white pepper and salt, and the sesame oil if using. Cook for about another minute. Very slowly pour in the eggs in a steady stream. To make shreds, stir the egg rapidly in a clockwise direction for one minute. To make thin streams or ribbons, gently stir the eggs in a clockwise direction until they form. Garnish with green onion and serve.
  4. They should have a registered dietician available to you while you're in the program. Ask about this at your next class. If not, I'd be more than happy to share the information I was given through Kaiser.
  5. I'm only 2 months post op so I'm not trying to concieve but, have you tried using an at home ovulation kit? They're relatively inexpensive and you can purchase at most drug stores.
  6. Sending a great big ole' E-hug your way.
  7. A certain person also told me they look too much like business shoes (really?) but his tastes perhaps run a little more adventurous than average. I started to type that and then erased... You'll look like a young and gorgeous Elizabeth Taylor with blue earrings! That woman was just stunning in her "hey day."
  8. Please try not to worry yourself. I too went through the program at Kaiser (Southern California) and the 10% weight loss is what they'd like for you to lose. It will not disqualify you from the program. I was 3 pounds heavier at the end of the Options classes. When I saw the surgeon he simply said he'd like for me to lose as much weight as possible between then and now. Of course YMMV...I had no underlying health issues other than being morbidly obese.
  9. I would add a pop of color with your handbag. Too much "matchy matchy" is the quickest way to age yourself. That's what major stylist say... don't flame me please.
  10. http://www.solesociety.com/devin-dusty-rose.html http://www.baublebar.com/crystal-tear-drops-12944.html
  11. Can you show us a picture of the dress? That would help with suggestions. Maybe I can put together a look or two for you on Polyvore.
  12. SV - Down 42 pounds! NSV - I was able to take off my jeans last night without unbuttoning or unzipping them! Treated myself to 2 new Gelish colors to Celebrate AND they were on sale yesterday for $8.99 at Sally's. SCORE!!!
  13. ^^ Sounds yummy! I too have been substituting Fage 2% for sour cream...can't tell the difference.
  14. You can try "dry brushing." Google or check it out on YT.
  15. Try Premier Protein...available at costco and Sam's Club. They're not very expensive (18 for around $23) and you get a whopping 30g of protein. Nashua Nutrition allows you to buy samples from various vendors. Check out the link below. http://www.nashuanutrition.com/store/protein-powders/protein-powder-samples-1-serving.html
  16. Does anyone know if it's safe for us to use magnesium citrate for constipation? I'm suffering today and I can't stomach anymore Milk of Mag.
  17. I had a part of a Quest bar for lunch today. The bar is 2.1 ounces and I couldn't even finish it...that is crazy and good!!!
  18. You look fantastic RRn! With all this talk about the Quest Cookies and Cream bar I decided to walk across the street to the Vitamin Shoppe. Guess what??? They were sold out of that flavor until their next shipment on Friday. I guess I'll have to wait until then. In the meantime, I purchased pb and j, chocolate brownie, cookie dough and apple pie. Thanks for all the suggestions included in this thread.
  19. Looking good! Did you lose all the weight post op? Please share what your typical menu looks like. I'd love to see the same results!!
  20. OMG! That was hilarious!!! Thanks for the morning giggle!!
  21. I'm going to start taking Colace daily to avoid this in the future.
