  1. TMI WARNING Are any of you having issues with constipation? I've had a couple of episodes and the only thing that helped was Milk of Mag. and they taste of that stuff is just awful. Plus the excrement was so big and hard it stopped up my toilet! Had to go to Home Depot to buy a new plunger.
  2. You're doing great. Keep it all in perspective of positive ( but I honestly realize its tough at times). The way I look at it everyday now is better than my days before when it comes to eating and taking care of me. Typical day for me: Breakfast - hot tea with 1tsp honey A boiled egg, 1/4 cup oatmeal or a strawberry lean Protein shake. lunch 2.5 oz tunafish, 1tsp lowfat mayo, 4 slices pickled beets Snack Lowfat/high protein yogurt or 100 calorie LF cottage cheese dinner 3oz fish with some kind of vegetable Night snack Hot tea with 1tsp honey MY MAJOR struggle is lack of Fluid intake. A good day 40oz. Today my BP was too low and my doc said it was due to my lack of fluid intake .. How many grams of protein are you averaging daily?
  3. Congratulations on getting a date! It is very exciting to have things finalized and to know you'll soon be on your way!!
  4. I had surgery on 12-05-13, my blood pressure was fine prior to surgery but was high afterwards. They were using a small cuff to check my pressure initially. When they switched to a larger cuff my blood pressure was back to normal.
  5. I've been having constipation issues as well. Milk of Mag has worked but boy is that stuff disgusting! I'm going to get a probiotic asap because I just don't want to have to taste that stuff again unless it's absolutely necessary.
  6. Sorry this happened to you but I'm confused. Your location says California???
  7. Thanks! That didn't even register when I read your post.
  8. Glad you broke your stall and losing 37-38 pounds is great! Keep up the good work!!!
  9. It's baffling how many women (over 30 years old) don't know that your menstrual cycle will cause you to gain pounds and/or retain water.
  10. Circle of trust. I like that...isn't that from Meet the Fockers? Whenever this topic comes up I always think to myself...you can't unring a bell.
  11. That's awesome!!! I want to have your stats but I don't imagine I'll be losing 50 lbs in the next 6 weeks. Hey a girl can dream. Men lose faster anyway...
  12. Oh! I remember reading your post about that. I think another poster was also going through the program and they didn't have a NUT to cover while she was out on maternity leave.
  13. I second RJ's recommendation of coconut oil. Good for your skin, hair and cooking. I keep one in the bathroom and one in the kitchen.
  14. Congratulations on getting approved!! I had my surgery at Kaiser (Southern California) too. What was your 6 month program like?
  15. God bless you...a 26 pound 6 month old?!? I love a nice "fluffy" baby!
  16. You don't get the recommended amount right after surgery. Your stomach is swollen and it's impossible. My doctor told me to concentrate on staying hydrated...the Protein will come later. Ask your doctor about his/her guidlines after surgery.
  17. Theworldaccordingtoeggface is a great resource!
  18. I totally understand having a 2 year old at 41! My energy level has increased since having surgery and I know my levels will continue to increase as the scale goes down,
  19. Same here. I only took the hydrocodone for 1 day at home, my pain was not that bad.
  20. Losing 9 lbs during your cycle is GREAT!
  21. ^^ She said it's almost over so, she'll probably get a swoosh on the scale after that.
