Pouch size?
Depends on what I'm eating, honestly. 2~4 ounces usually. But if it's greek yogurt, I can eat a solid 5 and be hungry in an hour.

Eh, I'd like to see some research that supports this.

I can't do it.
You have a day. I'm sure you'd be fine blowing it off Monday and then going back to it Tuesday following it to the T. After all, that's already the doctor's orders.

Sleeve after bypass
I'm not sure how possible that would be. Isn't that part of the stomach cut away?

What is the drain peeps keep talking about?
I had a drain. It just is in your body and drains out fluids and stuff. The removal is really weird but it's doable without pain.

How far out did it take for you to get to lifting weights?
Ah, thanks dude. Fiddleman, you're the best with answers, seriously. I'm so glad you're around here! By heavy lifting, do you mean like, 100+ pounds? Do you think 20 pound weights/bars would be alright?

This might be a man specific topic, I don't know, but when did you start to be able to lift heavy weights? I want to get into strength training but I'm cautious.

Feel like I'm slug
It doesn't. How far out are you? If you got sleeved recently, your stomach is inflamed. I believe it can stay that way for weeks.

stomach flu
Yeah, I'm just saying it's better to get a battle plan from a surgeon.

You should really call your surgeon.

Aetna says NO coverage
Tanyac, I have no idea how it works with taxes, but I know that if the surgery is more than 9.5% (I think) of your annual income, you can write it off in taxes.

Pyloric Valve Question
I'm not sure because I'm not sleeved yet, but I think the MAIN point of the shakes is so make sure we get as much protein as possible. We can't eat much food, so we have to supplement.

Self pay initial consult question
The initial testings can be covered by insurance if you have it, or you might have to pay. I don't think they're usually covered by the procedure's costs.

How does this happen? Real food vs fake?
You may have been on a stall. By eating more food, you might have signaled your body to burn more.

Diabesity study in CO
I feel like it's more similar to the bypass but without the cutting. I imagine the dumping would be similar, unless for some reason the lower portion of the small intestine can't handle that high nutrient level and causes dumping (all the way form the colon!) I think it's interesting, and would even be implementable for sleeve if people are struggling. Fantastic!

Skinnytaste.com
Has anyone used this website for their postop diet? I've used it before while dieting and it's amazing, but I'm wondering if other people use the recipes in their life after surgery. Do you think it'd be good? Here's a quick link: www.skinnytaste.com
