  1. Thanks ladies. I needed to get it out. I needed to tell someone. Anyone. After dealing with everything that needed doing, it still doesn't feel real. I mean, I saw him in his bed in the nursing home. I hugged him, and felt that he was gone, and cold. But every time I looked at him, I thought he was about to wake up. He was 94 years old, had a great life, and the last few days were really bad for him, so he is so much better off now. He is at peace. He isn't in pain anymore. Thanks again. (Oh, and that *does* suck She. Huge hugs to you too)
  2. I think this is a touch dramatic. How about saying; "I screwed up today. I know not to do that again! Tomorrow is a new day" Same sort of thing with a positive spin, if you get what I mean. And no, no one is perfect, but pointing out someone elses flaws to prop up your own argument is pretty sad. Own what you did, because what YOU do is the only thing in this world you can control.
  3. Posting just to say I am not erroded, the tube needs to be shortened. And less than 20 minutes after I had my scope MIL called to tell DH and I that FIL had just died. Today was a shithouse day. RIP FIL. You were a pain in the ass, but you were *our* pain in the ass, and we will miss you more than words can express.
  4. I have two options. Try in vain to get some sleep, or give up and get up. *Sigh*
  5. Why am I awake? It's 4am for the love of Thor. I should be sleeping.
  6. Not sill at ALL! Fab! Congrats!!
  7. Know what I *really* hate? When you have to be scoped. I don't wanna. Nope.
  8. Congrats on getting a date!
  9. I know that the places I eat at (when I do eat out) don't offer doggy bags. Places here in QLD that do takeaway as well as eat in offer dogy bags, but most places that don't do takeaway don't do doggy bags. If you get what I mean! And I don't think I'd want the crap on the kids menu. Yes, they are smaller, but 9/10 times they are just crap. Nuggets, chips, hotdogs and fried fish are not my #1 selection when I look at the menu! LOL. I would rather pay for a full serve of an adult meal and just leave what I don't eat.
  10. Close to three and a half years later, no problems.
  11. Two years after this was first posted, and I first replied and have now been at goal for two years, I can say without a doubt that I don't hate my boobs. No, they are not perky or very full. But when I have a bra on, they look fab, and I don't shy away from a mirror when I am naked.
  12. I live in my own little world. But you all knew that already.
  13. The wait time depends on where you live. In Queensland it can be years (I heard somewhere it was like 2 or 3 years?) So in some states, private is the way to go.
  14. You are so welcome to crash the party Snowbird. It's all good.
  15. Thanks for the invite She. I finally got my backside here. I have a house full of kids at the moment, so I will read the thread when I get some quiet time.
  16. No... It's Mr Stick.
  17. Snowbird has it right. We are more fun (and redundant)... It was set up back when these groups were invite only. Guess that isn't the case anymore (insert sad face here). But did you know, as the person who set the group up, I am a mod here? I said I never wanted to be a mod here, but there you go! LMAO
  18. I blame global warming.
  19. It does. But he's 94, has had 2 loving families and a fantastic life. Besides, he still has it pretty good. Its everyone else who is running around like headless chooks
  20. I'm around, sort of. My FIL has become really frail, and after close to 3 months in hospital we found a place in a nursing home. MIL dosn't drive, so guess who gets to drive her around? Anyway, I am around. I saw that reply Wasa
  21. I don't know if Ipswich is any cheaper. All I know is that my health fund paid for 100% of the hospital stay. I don't know how that changes the fees (I was banded almost 3.5 years ago, Dr Copps fees and such have gone up since then I am sure)
  22. So, if I was to mix said butter with, say protien powder, it would be healthy?
  23. Good stuff, I thought that was the case! Actually, after I posted I thought of the name of the chick I was thinking of. Jo Frost, you know, the chick from SuperNanny? I think she is kinda cute! So it wasn't a bad thing at all! Good stuff, in this case, I am more than happy to have been wrong. Froggi, thanks babe.
  24. Can someone tell me if butter is a liquid or a mushy. I just ate a tub, and wonder if I have hurt myself.
  25. It's going to vary from surgeon to surgeon I am afraid. Lap Band Surgeons Australia Laparoscopic Gastric Banding Surgeons New Zealand There is a list of surgeons from the Aussie Lap Band site. Some have web sites, and I know of at least one surgeon on that list who will email you with rough costs. Best of luck.
