I am in my gown waiting for iv. My doctor just came by and prayed with me and for me and the surgery. My belly is just so nervous inside. Almost show time. He is going to do his first case right now. Then me.

Good luck kbridge and Planochic. I am on my way to the hospital. We got this. God has us all covered. Can’t wait to hear everyone’s success stories!!

My surgery will be in Murfreesboro Tn and I will be having the gastric sleeve. My nerves are all over the place. Wish sleep would come!

There is a few on 9/26. This is my date as well. I have to check in at 7am. I am the second case. But I live an hour and a half away from the hospital. I will have to leave home about 5am. Nerves are kicking in. I am fixing to go take a shower and use the surgical scrub and then have to do it again in the morning. Good luck to everyone tomorrow!!

Good luck tomorrow! I do my pre op registration Monday and they will be giving me a body wash to use the night before and morning of. Then I have to arrive at 6am. I am the second case but he wants me to be there at 6 in case the first one decides not to show. Keep us updated!

@iattcom I also have to work on CEUs for the up coming tax season. So this week or two off will give me time to get mine done as well. I cannot believe surgery is this Wednesday. I started this journey in November I think. I had to start with my 6 months of dr visits and then do the ekg labs psych nut stool sample. But now the end is def in sight. I have tried a few protein shakes but I find I like the premier the best. The strawberry to be exact. I am on day 12 of my all liquid diet. The first few days was not hard. I got hungry about 4th day but that’s because all of us managers had to go to a luncheon and I was like stuck. I did eat a piece of grilled chicken. But still stuck to the all liquids after and it didn’t seem to hurt me. And I have already started a stool softener at my pre op support group leaders request. I have only told a hand full of people as well. I don’t want all the negative comments. This decision is hard enough with those. Some people just don’t understand how it feels to be the biggest person in the room or to worry about fitting in a tiny booth at a restaurant or squeezing behind people in conference rooms for meetings and etc. but we all have got this!! Soon we will be on the other side!!

@CRD1981 it gets easier. When I started the modified, the hardest part for me was friends wanting to go out to dinner and not knowing what I was doing. I initially didn’t want to tell a lot of people because of the negative comments. But then I told a few and now they are supportive. But I think starting the modified diet helped me ease into the full liquid. But the sf jello and the sf popsicles have helped me so much. And I have been using the premier protein shakes.

I am also 9/26. I started my clear liquid diet on 9/12. I had previously started a modified diet 9/1. As of today I have lost 16 pounds. It has actually went better than I thought. My emotions are all over the place. One minute I am fine and the next I am like why am I cutting out a perfectly good organ. But then I just go back to the whys of doing this and I am fine again. It will be here before we know it. I will be getting the vertical gastric sleeve.

Today is my 1st day of my 14 day full liquid diet. I am getting more and more nervous. This is really happening. ?. Wish me luck on the next 14 days.

I got my insurance approval today!! I will attending the pre op surgery class on Monday!

Congratulations!! I understand the nerves. I feel them now reading your post lol. Although I was just submitted to insurance today and still a ways off from my surgery I am nervous ? like J San said though everything will be fine and you will wonder why you were so nervous. Good luck!!

Got the call today that I am being submitted to my insurance company!! So excited! This is getting real! Now wonder how long it will take???
